What bizarre world do you live in where guys do not talk in men’s groups/church, friends, message boards, etc? There’s an entire subreddit based on this topic and counseling considering the major trauma it does.
Sorry, but I have never lived in that world. And I think I’ll pass.

That is genuinely hilarious....but in no way is any of what you're saying applicable to fn Will Smith. Get real.

Stand up to it like a man though. Voice your disapproval in the moment (even though you got caught laughing) and confront him in private. Nothing Will Smith did was standing up for his woman (other than actually standing up).

He's lucky he's rich.

We aren’t talking about the same standing up. I’m saying he is trying to be man enough to stand up to the challenge of staying with someone who cheated(if she actually did as their marriage sounds open).

That wound is fresh, and any interaction where he is being challenged as a man, and who knows how he reacts.

But that seemed to be about what I’d expect from someone struggling inside with his decision.

Again judge away if you think you are better than him. But in that situation who knows how you’d react. Surely you’d like to think you’d react somehow but that doesn’t mean it’s what you’d really do.

Imagine if Chris Rock had been packing last night, and had waited until Smith got back in his seat, then proceeded to draw and drill Smith six times in the chest and say "Slap me one more time motherf*****" Would have gone to jail but the story would have been epically different.

I agree. The story would have been very different had Chris Rock just flat out murdered Will Smith on live tv.

I don’t disagree, but I also don’t blame Will Smith for trying to be man enough to stand up to it.

Plus that wound is real fresh.
Yeah great. Now it's open season on comedians by anyone who gets their feelings hurt.

Chris Rock should publicly say he will never do the Academy Awards again, claim that they are racist for allowing that nonsense, and press charges.

The real story is that those who make self deprecating jokes and are perhaps self loathing now have permission to slap themselves in the face.

Rock should've replied, "Ok, I'll keep her name out of my mouth when she starts keeping other dude's dixks out of HER mouth."

🤣😆

Then take off backstage. 😆
Exactly what I was saying to myself when I heard Will Smith cussing at him and saying to keep his wife's name out of his mouth.

He may not have to say that he'll never host again.

Because after last night's slap debacle, the terrible ratings (it scored a 15.3, which made it the second-least-watched Oscars ever), and the ever-growing general disdain for Hollywood celebrities thanks to guys like Harvey Weinstein, James Franco, Bill Cosby, Les Moonvess, Kevin Spacey, Amber Heard, Jusse Smolett, Asia Argento, Philip Berk, Mel Gibson, Alec Baldwin, and so on -- I wouldn't be shocked if the Academy shut down the Oscars for a while to totally reformat it. I don't think that it'll happen, but I won't be shocked if it comes to pass.

LOL! That was 100% scripted. 100%.

Oscar ratings are wayyyy down so they had to spice it up to get attention, and it worked. Pathetic.

Didn’t he laugh at first. I’ve only seen clips so I’m not sure. I would watch grass grow before an awards show. But Rock must be loving life. If your a comedian the ultimate must be to have a person react that way.
I don't watch them either. I stumbled across it and at first thought it was staged. It was not. Rock held back because for a second he wanted to keep going. I wish he would have.

I agree with this. I always thought the only way I would blow up my family was if infidelity was involved. Then add to the fact it’s apparently well know she cheated on him. Unless he has don’t the same to her I don’t see how he could look at her the same.
It's why Hollywood destroys people....it's infested with low level people with lots of money but still have no scruples

LOL … this is hilarious. Jada Pinkett is not suffering from any medical condition. You may have just set the all time Cats Pause record for softest post by a male. 😂
She has alopecia. The fact that you think standing up for a loved one who is being mocked for their medical condition is "soft" says a great deal about you as a person.

Most don't know who Moonvess, Argento, and Berk are. The Academy isn't going to shut the Oscars down to reformat the show, as they already retooled things for this year (not showing some award presentations in their entirety) but the show still ran 3.5 hrs. and was more of the same. The Academy doesn't want the Oscars to turn into the MTV Movie Awards, but in making that decision, they chose to ignore popcorn blockbusters that everyone can see for films most can't name and you have to search out. Odd decision, considering they fully embraced Titanic, which was the blockbuster to end all blockbusters in the late 90s.

The show has massive problems, from being far too long to not really having an identity now. The Big Picture Pod mentioned this morning that last night felt more like The Grammys with musical acts and nods to a younger audience. I'm a complete movie buff, but there's no way I'm watching a nearly four hour awards show with musical acts and multiple hosts doing bits all night. That sounds exhausting.

Sounds good. Enjoy the most shallow existence with no connection and nothing of substance discussed.
Shallow existence? Haha, I don’t go around continuously creating new message board usernames because I keep getting my feelings hurt. And I don’t participate in bro groups where I share my most personal feelings with total strangers, just because we were all born with dicks. Geez, dude, did you really let what happened at the Oscars get all up in your feels?

She’s also a slut and a child molester. But, OMG!!!, she has a high forehead so let’s all have a bro group hug. Where’s the crying emoji??
