I think he has to find some beef pretty quick. We don't know for certain about Varnado, Kodi, or Brian Johnson. And, hell, Elgin is coming off of injury. We need a big body.

(I'd prefer a JUCO.) But, could this be the guy?

a 6'8" 215 post man from Selma. Auburn and W. KY are recruiting him too.

I don't think we're after him. Also, his mother is very concerned with academics and he (with mom) visited Tulane last week and had a great time. I believe he'll sign with the Green Wave.

Sweet, a 2* / low 3* post player.
Cuz we need another project player for the post.

What we need is size that can score. Or size that can rebound and defend.

A 2* HS recruit isnt that.

Stans lost out on signing a talented HS big man, and there are none left. And i am unaware of any JUCO post players that are talented enough to come in and actually help us out immediately.

We have an immediate need, and this guy would be help come 2011.

Bad planning by the coaches, i said it again.

There's nobody I've seen that we are recruiting that gives me goose bumps.

Maybe Stans is holding off until the Fab Five class of 2011.

No sense in signing a QB in 2008 since we're going to sign both Tyler Russell and Chris Garrett in 2009. Oops.

Has he turned into a coach all of the sudden and doesn't want to be know as a recruiter anymore?
Now if we can just get Phil Turner to grow 6 inches this offseason...

than football. you don't have as many scholarships to go around, so you better plan for the future wisely. you have 85 scholarships in football, 4x the number of starters (22). in basketball, you have 13, 2.5x the number of starters (5). if you want to sign 4 or 5 kids in one class, you need to plan accordingly.

i would've thought that we would go after a couple of high-profile juco guys this year, who could help out for 2 years and then be gone. i bet stans recruits his butt off to keep augustus, because he fits the schedule (and he knows that we need his game). ravern, elgin, holcombe, benock, and augustus = 5 scholarships for the class of 2011.

what is latavious williams doing these days? i sure wish rashanti harris could get out of his georgia state commit (if he can get eligible).

Last time I checked neither you or C34 are worth a **** when it comes to knowing what is going to happen or predicting. And spare me the "Well I said we would lose to Washington and you see how that turned out" ********. First, it was Stans screwed the pooch and we were not going to make the NCAA. When we did it was either because he finally started playing Augustus or the bitching was switched to us being a 13-seed. I do not follow basketball recruiting very much, but I imagine Stans went after some big guys, but could not land them. That **** is going to happen from time to time.

Augustus may leave, but he hasnt yet.

Varnado is still here.

I know a couple of you are built for the long haul when it comes to acting like chicken little, but pace yourself guys.
