I doubt we truly fold. In general, under Rhule, our players continue to fight and play hard even when things haven’t been going our way. There are a few exceptions like Minnesota this year and Indiana last year, but overall I think that’s true.
I mean is 1-3 in the last 4 a fold ? That should be considering two of the teams have fired their coaches this year and one of them lost its starting qb as well. I would assume we lose every game because that has been the pattern for 10 years. Rhule is just a continuation of the problems of the past...slightly fewer penalties but worse blocking, better special teams but still a mediocre kicking game. And the lines are terrible. The only thing giving the semblance of a successful season has been an absolutely trash schedule. Iowa will be the best team we have played and we get them at home...we missed all of the big dogs and had cin as our non-con. That being said, I treat each Saturday as if we are 0-0 and enjoy the game...then if we win we are 1-0 and I am happy, if we lose I lose my mind until the next saturday.

"Beating the brakes off someone" is an idiom for winning a contest so decisively and dominantly that the opponent is completely outmatched. It is a colorful expression for defeating someone overwhelmingly, implying that the victory was not even close. The phrase is often used in a post-game or post-fight interview to describe a performance of extreme superiority.
  • Meaning: To win a competition by an overwhelming margin.
sounds like a team that has no business beating you........then beating you in your home stadium
they were awful

Nebraska was overwhelmingly expected to beat UCLA last year and comfortably. The actual outcome was shockingly different. This was the game that Rhule picked up an offensive call sheet on the sideline, and directly led to Dana being brought in immediately.
and there is your daily bingo

Dana wins or loses this game... Dana needs to develop a scheme that UCLA can't easily predict, he needs to get Emmett the ball, and he needs to make TJ feel comfortable by scheming WRs wide open... it's not even that difficult of a task
Damn Saxophone, you should offer your services to the coaching staff. Since it's that easy!

The simple fact is that every team is going to have a clunker now and then. And our team isn't good enough to avoid looking ****** on the days where we have a clunker. I'd add in last year's home game against UCLA to the clunker category.
