Would have won if they did. Instead, they tried to create a shot instead of dribbling to the corner and gave up the tie. We seem to forget that the "stall" worked for MSU about 95% of the time.

Coming from one who hasn't nor plans to watch any "futbal" in this tournament but has gathered enough from posts on this message board to see that apparently the USA suffered today from that famous MSU game plan of the past years of not playing to win but playing their asses off not to lose? The result is usually the same, you don't win...

I'm not observant enough to tell if we were playing not to lose or not, but that last of Portugals was the only place it could be and the header went to the only place it could go. A perfect play. Hard to beat perfection.
