I think we’ll absolutely be better assuming Mag is healthy and Cliff comes back. Mag will take over the defensive role that Caleb had and Gavin will be an upgrade on Hyatt (who I don’t think comes back now). If Paul leaves it will hurt but Derek will run the show and I assume we’ll get a guard in the portal

Not sure we can say our D will be better with losing Caleb .
There's not much room for improvement over our early season D with Mag and Caleb. But if Mag comes back strong he can hopefully be a Caleb-like force on the defensive end and keep our defense elite.

Rutgers needs major improvement on offense that would offset the McConnell departure.Rutgers needs go to scorers that can create and make shots off the dribble,The roster needs four players to leave and be replaced with shooters.

It’s all about Cliff in my view. If he doesn’t come back there is no way we find somebody close to his caliber in the portal.

Wolf has potential but he’s not big enough.

If Cliff is back, then I feel pretty good. We can focus on a back up big in the portal and guard to replace Mulcahy if he leaves.

We will be better. Cliff is the biggest question, if he doesn't return we have to replace him with a portal big who can defend big and rebound.

Paul, Hyatt, Dean, Miller, Palmquist - the production from any/all of them is replaceable.

In addition to being better results-wise, the basketball will be more entertaining

People are forgetting about Chol

Chol, Wolf with more muscle
Cam, Gavin sharpshooters
Derek and Paul to run the point
Mag with lockdown D
If we get Cliff back, and add a portal player to take Hyatt’s mins, we will be pretty decent. NIT the floor
Oskar actually stepped up his D and his dribbling late this year. I have more confidence in him now than I did 10 games ago

Not sure about Chol. His body looks soft and not ready for B10. Is he quick enough to compete at this level? He seems like a bit of a project.

Too early to tell considering Pike has been stubborn for almost a decade. Need him to give dancing Reiber and Miller the talk

Why is everybody forgetting about our other 2 recruits; The big man(spelling) and Warren? the guard they have potential as Warren is on Ace Bailey's team and he plays some high level ball
Not forgetting! I’m saying Gavin is way ahead of them. If they get meaningful minutes, great!

Ndongo will get meaningful minutes. Playing big-time HS hoops at PSA is huge.
Not sure about Jamichael Davis - depends a lot on what Paul does and who they get in the portal.
I hope there is some way to watch some of the stuff overseas.

If Cliff doesnt come back, just find a serviceable center in the portal who can get some rebounds and play defense. Look what Penn State did this year with basically no decent big man.
