Will we snag any transfers from Penn State?

Here's their current roster:
http://www.gopsusports.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/psu-m-footbl-mtt.html(doesn't include recruits)<div>and their recruiting class: http://rivals.yahoo.com/bwi/football/recruiting/commitments/2012</div><div>
</div><div>
</div><div>I remember we were hard after QB Stephen Bench, who will be a true freshman this fall. Now that we suddenly only have 2 scholarship QBs on the roster, maybe we give him a call? I don't see much from the South on the roster outside a DE from Nashville and a couple linemen from Texas. Any chance we go after any of them or anyone else?</div><div>
</div><div>We would be allowed to go over 85 scholarships to take them, but if we do, we have to make it up next year. So if we go up to 86 this year, it's only 84 next year, so it might not be worth it. I would think getting a 3rd scholarship QB, one who'd potentially be here until 2016, would be worth it though.</div>

Why do people think this? We NEVER offered the kid. Hell, he rated roughly the same as our new walk-on.

but decided to stay I guess. Those guys are going thru so many emotions right now as players, tough being on that rollercoaster. You feel selfish if you leave.

Would have liked to have gotten him in- but it's not a big deal.

But since the NCAA waived all contact rules for these guys you know they are getting bombarments of telephone calls every day. Also the Big 10 is considering changing the rule to allow guys to transfer to other Big 10 schools. Penn St is going to lose a lot of guys over this. Just think, not only are the Penn St coaching having to recruit new guys with all this hanging over their heads, they also have to recruit current players to keep them on staff.

I think you are wrong on your math. My understanding is that if a school went to 86 scholarships this year, they'd need to grant one less to the upcoming class such that they would be back to the 85 limit by the end of next year.
