I have many great memories. But my favorite was when my parents both WVU alum. Took my brother and I to our 1st college football game. It was in 95 I think when WVU played Purdue and had mike Alstot. Man what a great time. I have been a fan ever since. The 2 things I remember the most from that game was the 1st time I heard the the crowd go back in forth scream "let's go" "mountaineers". It was so loud and I thought this is the best place I've ever seen. The 2nd thing I remember is standing at top of the pit with my dad brother and watching all the students party. I'm sure someone on this board was down there partying. But it was like seeing something out of a movie in the 2 or 3 minutes we were observing I saw beer cans flying, a fight broke out, and when the girl that was on top of a guy's shoulders shirt came off that was when my mom hurried me and my brother away. Since we were only in elementary school.

What a great experience. I fell in love with WVU and Morgantown that day.

My uncle, at the last minute, got two tickets and invited my dad & I to the Miami game in 1993. I will never forget the adrenaline, the sound, the atmosphere when Robert Walker took that ball around the left side and found the end zone. That moment my blood turned from red to blue & gold. My dad died a few years later and I sure wish I knew then what I know now, but what an experience. Go eers!

The Sugar Bowl victory was a great game. My Dad and I rode down on a bus from the Eastern panhandle fan club. Hurricane Katrina caused the game to be played in Atlanta. A city which WVU has had a lot of success in. It was great beating the hometown Georgia Bulldogs.

My best moment watching WVU football was going to the Orange Bowl a few years ago vs Clemson. I'm sitting in the middle of mostly Clemson fans when the play that changed the game happened. All the Clemson fans are cheering because they think they just scored a touchdown. All of the sudden you see a Mountaineer sprinting for the opposite end zone. Darwin Cook takes it in for a TD and tackles the Orange. The stunned silence of the Clemson fans was great. And the ensuing beat-down was even more gratifying to watch. In the end, most of the Clemson fans had moved on from disbelief and were opening laughing about the way their team was being destroyed. I slept well that night.
