6 or less wins this fall will mean Clown is gone. The only meaningful win last year was a bowl game with UNC's QB and other players optioning out. With the expansion of the CFP, bowls will be worthless.

Who knows in the preseason as our schedule maybe harder or easier than expected. Of our 7 FBS regular season wins last year, the best record we faced was a 6-6 team which is definitely easier than anyone expected. 6 wins should be the minimum given we are starting year 6 of Brown's tenure, but on the off chance the schedule shakes out to be as easy as last year, I'd hope we could pull off 9 and get one quality regular season win and/or avoiding a let down loss this go around to show some improvement.

With the expanded CFP to twelve teams, anything less than 9 wins would be unacceptable. That is because any bowl game, not in the CFP, would be worthless.

I agree, that is why I qualified with regular season. When Pat White played his 4 bowl games we got Hakeem Nicks from UNC and Calvin Johnson from GT. Those wins meant something. Beating those teams without those guys and their few other possible NFL talents doesn't mean much.

Just win.

Doesn't matter if schedule is considered tough. We do know if WVU wins then the claims of schedule was to easy will commence.

My projected win is 9, 10 would be awesome and possible.
That would be awesome. ...... but unlikely. Agree with dangerousdan. Reg season 6W is a disaster. Shows how weak last season schedule was. Co tract extension was made to get rid of the friggin ridiculous 100% guarantee payout. Can't keep a HC that doesn't move the program forward.

buyout if fired...down from 100% to 75% but a year more at 4.4 million at 75% is 3.3 million buyout for the estension year..they didn't give him an extension to fire him..lol! only in West Virginia

Happens all the time. But 6-6 and they will not fire him. Although they should. I don't believe in the crap talk of only reason they won was because of a weak schedule.
