This is why we play the games. Writers can speculate all they want over unlimited statistics but it all comes down to the teams on the field that day. My hope is that Rutgers starts to show the potential that Schiano cultivated in stint #1.

This is a fan site.

Minnesota at a "4" while RU at 10, UTEP at 11, Howard at a 12 and Maryland at a 3?

Is Minnesota supposed to be that good?

  1. vs. No. 7 Penn State Nittany Lions (Sept. 30)
  2. at No. 19 Wisconsin Badgers (Nov. 21)
  3. at Duke Blue Devils (Sept. 16)
  4. vs. Minnesota Golden Gophers (Sept. 23)
  5. vs. No. 25 Iowa Hawkeyes (Nov. 4 at Wrigley Field)
  6. vs. Maryland Terrapins (Oct. 28)
  7. at Illinois Fighting Illini (Nov. 25)
  8. at Nebraska Cornhuskers (Oct. 21)
  9. vs. Purdue Boilermakers (Nov. 18)
  10. at Rutgers Scarlet Knights (Sept. 3)
  11. vs. UTEP Miners (Sept. 9)
  12. vs. Howard Bison (Oct. 7)

My take away. If Wisconsin is preseason #19 and Iowa is at #25, Jesus Christ is our schedule ridiculously hard. Who's on the B1G schedule making committee? Everyone who got rejected by Rutgers for college? Everybody in the conference plays 2 or 3 preseason Top#25 teams, Rutgers 5.

The 1st game all comes down to Coaching and Team preparation.
Let’s hope Greg has improved from last year.
If yes we win +10 points in game 1.

The biggest concern is Northwestern has Ben Bryant, in his 6th year of eligibility.

In 2022, he threw for 2732 yards, 61.2% 21 TD and 7 INT. In 2021, he threw for 3121 yards, 14 TD and 7 INTs.
Last year, he torched Indiana.
Wish RU had pulled in a QB like Bryant from the portal.

How they see Rutgers is built on perception. Seldom does reality play a role in how people see things around them. If they were to take a hard look, they might not like what they see.
