Tomorrow Florida DA will tell us why he is not being charged. It will be because the DA doesn't have enough evidence. Talk about a cover up, screw up, 17 up....The Heisman is getting ready to go down the drain. Better remove that character clause.....

I wasn't there, but I do know this: He did something, almost a year ago, it was sexual in nature, and the woman went to the hospital, and were just now getting around to it. I also know that the Heisman is starting to go to the damn dogs....Newton, Johnny Football, and now this ****. I wasn't at any of them!
Just let it go... The woman was even told that she more than likely wouldn't have stood a chance in taking it to court. You can look at that however you want, but from the beginning it doesn't look like anything was going to come out of it.
What probably comes of it is she will graduate w/ honors and have a great job for life that she never has to show up for

My FSU grad student said the version she heard was that Famous Jameis had a girlfriend who was not from Tallahassee, and the accuser was his sidepiece. When the girlfriend was planning a trip into town, Winston broke it off with the other girl, who then claimed assault. Please note I have nothing to validate this - it's just a rumor from an FSU person who is far more concerned with justice than football.
I am going to reserve judgment on this. After the Duke lacrosse debacle I think it is the smartest thing to do.

She reported this in February. Way before Jameis Winston was a Heisman candidate. Way before he was even a starter. So anyone who would say she's seeing dollar signs is just ignorant of the facts. The Tallahassee Police have delayed this investigation. Not the victim. This is as fishy as it gets.

According to TPD, the alleged victim refused to cooperate shortly after filing the initial complaint. Then she came back with it months later and they went to the state attorney (as they should). So, before you start calling people ignorant of the facts, at least give a bit more of a balanced account of the facts as reported.
The whole problem with your sentence is that opening clause: "According to the TPD." The same TPD who told the victim of an alleged rape that things might not go well for her because this is a football town. The TPD has lost all credibility.
According only to her attorney, as told to him by his client that the prosecutor did not find credible, yes, they said that. No else has asserted they said anything of the sort, including TPD. Whether they did or not, I don't know. Neither do you. Thanks for acknowledging your bias.
I know she wouldn't be the first victim to be hushed up because her attacker was famous. The american justice system has a long history of marginalizing anyone without influence to help the advantaged.
What did she have to gain by coming forward? If someone can show me a way she would have stood to gain, I'm ready to hear it. She raised this allegation before he ever played a single down of collegiate football.
