With Perry gone & maybe Oweh as well, we've only got an 11 man roster. Do we sign 1 maybe 2 more players?

Where did I say that Oweh is leaving? My simple question was does UK sign anyone else. Why this simple question is so hard for some of you to comprehend is mystifying to me. Ask the question will UK sign anyone else & your response is Oweh is coming back, Oweh is coming back, Oweh is coming back. OK, OK. OK I get it Oweh is coming back. But back to the original question, will UK sign anyone else.
Uh, maybe your thread title ? "With Perry leaving and possibly Oweh, that leaves us a 11 man roster" If we had 13, Perry leaves = 12. You stated we have a 11 man roster in the thread title, insinuating Oweh was leaving that is how. Oweh leaving is how you came to the 11 man roster. You know what you posted, no need acting like somebody put words in your post, YOU did, you baited it, people took it, now you want to back track.

I'm really confident he'll be back.

I think we've just been burnt so many times by these fringe guys that have no business going. Many posters probably have some degree of PTSD from the Calipari days.

Obviously there are huge differences. NIL allows guys to make more money than getting drafted 2nd round(even late 1st round). We no longer have a coach PUSHING guys to the draft
The reason for pushing guys out has vanished. If you are good enough to be considered for any spot in the draft, you will likely receive life changing money by staying in school.

If so, what positions would you like to see filled? Myself if Oweh returns or not I would love to see us sign a 6'6"/6'7" small forward that's shoots 40+% from 3 point range. If we can't get one from the transfer portal, then get us one out of Europe. Considering the number of injuries we had last season, I don't feel comfortable with only an 11 man roster.

Nope. Won't sign anyone else from the transfer portal, because the pundits all said "we are done" once we signed our last 2 signees....

I don't think Perry affects our equation on the court too much either way.

Apparently, neither did he. Maybe we just stop recruiting KY high school kids any differently than kids anywhere else, if it really doesn't mean any more to them than anyone else.

Are there ANY players left out there that want to earn their spots on the court? How do we find THOSE kids?

I mean counting Oweh we have 12 players. I just don't see who would want to in this day and time would want to come and be the 13th guy. We have 5 , another 5 and then 2 all solid players. That's 2 1/2 teams basically I mean we couldn't even get a homegrown Kentucky boy to stay on the roster as the 13th player. So my answer is no and I'll be shocked if we get anymore than 12.
Go to Europe and get us a 6'6"/6'7" shooter. If he's a high enough quality player. Who says that he's going to be your 13th man. If he's good enough he starts or he's one of your top 2 or 3 players of the bench.

its a delicate balance. You sign too many and someone feels slighted and de-commits or becomes disgruntled and causes locker room issues.

And we love to say players need to suck it up and welcome the competition, but these kids want to play and signed on to play. When they see their playing time potentially diminished, the instinct is to go somewhere else, where they can actually play more.

So it’s a fine line you walk when recruiting.

Too many mouths to feed is a real issue.

12 guys that can contribute is probably the limit.

THIS ! THIS ! ! THIS ! ! !
This characteristic is among the most disgusting human characteristics, to me ! Back-trackers ... just spineless, and most often vacuous, individuals - and most often people whom I'd like to buy for what they know, and sell for what they think they know ! Thanks for calling the OP out, CFBG ! And ... as always ... Go 'Cats ! ! !
