stats alone.

He is batting .196 with 9 hits, 5 runs scored, 1 double, and 6 RBIs. He has been walked 6 times. He has a slugging percentage of .217. On base percentage of .275. He has struck out 14 times in SEC play. He has grounded into 3 double plays.

In my opinion, he is the main reason for our offensive struggles.

I don't think anyone would disagree with you. Our top 4 have to get going for this lineup to score.

I would bat Pirtle in 3 hole.

Detz and Pirtle are doing their job in SEC play, at least. It should be

Armstrong, Detz, and Pirtle in that order at the top of the lineup. I'd like to see this:

1. Armstrong
2. Detz
3. Pirtle
4. Collins
5. Henderson/Heck
6. Rea
7. Henderson/Heck
8. Randolph
9. Bradford

Scratch that. There is no reason for Randolph to be playing. And, a healthy Bradford needs to be a little higher in the lineup.

1. Armstrong
2. Detz
3. Pirtle
4. Collins
5. Bradford
6. Rea
7. Vickerson
8. Heck
9. Henderson

You want the guy leading the team in BA and Slugging batting 9th? Rea isn't going to drop below 4. Vickerson will be in the lineup.
