Ha - yeah good win at home (granted a lot of penalties called vs Rice -gotta work on reducing them to get to finals). Next one will be tougher (DGN). Lansu is a top tier QB who can pass and run. SCN had a decent pass game against us so we're gonna have to buckle down on D and get a good pass rush by McGee-Fitz-Liggins and Parks. Glad we're on the U. I'm up in Highland Park so hard to get down to Southside. Would be great to see a Rita vs Rice 7A final (but granted no one likes playing the same team twice in a season - just ask Glenbard West). Still Batavia at Rita and DGN at Rice are no gimmes for Rita and Rice. Good luck to all the CCL teams
Lot will have to go DGNs way to beat BR. Lansu is a great QB, he was the starter when MC played them 2 years ago for State, but their line will not be able to contain BRs front DL/DE, just too much size. MC was able to slow them down because they countered their DL with a complete and strong OL. DGN doesn't have that, they may have 1 strong OLinemen and a couple capable ones, but need an Army to stop Liggins, Parks, Fitz and McGee. McGee not playing the second half helped MC. I like BR by 17 and I really think 21.
Rita may have a tougher time, those two match up well, great QB at Batavia, some playmakers, but when it comes down to it Rita's SOS and size will prevail for a 7-10 point W.
This will be the 4th semi final appearance by the Mustangs in the last 5 years. The last 3 we have taken a loss to the likes of MC and they are no longer in class 7A. Walter Jones is a difference maker and he's healthy now and the last 2 games have shown it. The Seniors are leading the charge with this playoff run. The physicality of the Mustangs will get them thru Batavia and earn a ticket to the chip! SR 30- Batavia 20
Been busy with work and the family, but I know Rita is playing very well. QB has a lot of confidence, and I think everyone is healthy. I also like the fact that Rita is rotating an extra two linemen into the playing time. Keep those biggies fresh at times. At halftime, the defense made great adjustments against a very good Hersey offense.

Not counting Covid year, it's a 5th semifinal in the last six years. Good stuff.
