This is some very bad basketball. I watch my son’s high school team. They don’t miss nearly this many layups. Clark is the sht though.her passing is unbelievable. she has six assists in the first quarter but I bet they’ve missed four more.
these chicks miss about every damn layup she dishes them . If I wasn’t drunk, I don’t believe I could watch

I watched about 4 minutes. It was all I could take. Clark looked pretty ordinary (very small sample size), but did have 1 very nice assist. I’d ask who won, but I really don’t care.

Clark is an extremely talented player but the women's league as a whole is still not that good. It is what it is. Problem is that all the other women hate her and hate the attention she gets and start a bunch of crap to the point it looks like wwe crap

I walked into a restaurant yesterday, and one TV was showing the Women's National Football Conference. WNFC. It was on some ESPN channel. The Texas Elite Spartans were playing the Washington Prodigy in Cowboy stadium.

Now, look, I don't mind women playing football and people paying to see it. Sounds fun and all.

But my question is, where did these women learn to play? And who found them all? And it looked like most, if not all, of the coaches were women...where did they learn how to coach football?

I'm not saying women can't play or coach football. I just don't understand when they took up the sport and decided they could play professionally? And on ESPN?

Yeah I’ll never watch a WNBA game. Women’s basketball is horrible and corrupts the soul.

They criticize her for turnovers, but I'm pretty convinced they come from the fact that her teammates can't catch or never see a lot of the great passes she makes. She's on another level in terms of understanding the game vs almost all the other women.

But yeah, it's all mostly unwatchable.

In my opinion, it's the sport with the biggest skill gap between men and women. Unless someone is wearing a State jersey, there is zero chance of me tuning in.

I found it odd a few years ago when the "bUt FuNDaMentalz" psyop was being floated around by every talking head and coach on planet earth. And people were lapping it up.

The Clark highlight clips are fun to watch. 0 interest in watching the other 38 minutes of game play.

Its interesting to see how few people on SPS are interested in the WNBA, seeing as how popular Reese and Clark threads have been for the last couple years. Many are heated and passionate with regard to Reese as a player, or how they perceive Clark being treated by other players or refs.
You would think those threads would be largely dead, given how few SPS posters even care about the WNBA.

As I've said before, Caitlin Clark is Magic Johson and Larry Bird combined for the WNBA. Whether you like it or not, or watch it or not, people are talking about it now. And the 4 minutes I watched yesterday is 4 more than I have in the last 20 years combined. Who knows, I might actually wind up watching some if Clark or Paige Buekers is playing.

Yes, but financially she is like the Goose That laid the Golden Egg. She has put much money in the players and leagues pockets.
The players just don't get it.

I think a lot of the drama around Clark is being fabricated for viewership. Most people don’t want to watch inferior basketball. They will watch for controversy and fighting.

I'm not questioning the viewership. I just don't know where the athletes came from? This isn't lingerie football...it was real, hard hitting stuff. Okay, maybe not THAT hard. But there aren't a lot of women's high school football teams, so where did they develop their skills? How did an OC learn to draw up plays, and teach them to the players? So many questions....

Anyone else think it's ridiculous these girls show up for games like they're runway models? I mean, I get why they do it, and it does work cause I keep seeing it on my FaceBook or wherever. But I do think it's ridiculous. And yes, those are some really nice legs.

Yes. It’s ridiculous how these women are dressing for the game and for press conferences afterward.

I think they are trying to market themselves, and hopefully get more sponsors. ...Otherwise what are they planning to do after basketball?

Have ya seen the **** the NFL guys wear to games? I swear some of them just raid their wife's closet for skirts and a purse.

Sophie Cunningham regulating after Clark got fouled had got me watching all the highlights for sure. I'll watch the next time I stumble on a Fever game but I'm not going to seek it out. Ladies basketball isn't that entertaining from the athleticism perspective but they do play hard and beat the hell out of each other. They'll highlight that as much as possible to make the product more entertaining. I would at least.
