Might sound misogynist, but there aren't too many for me (unless I just forgot about them)

- Mariah Carey - girl can sing
- Annie Lenox
- Alison Krauss
- Heart
- Chick from Evanescence

Obviously not much recent stuff.

To be fair. I like to sing along and most ladies would be out of my range, except Anne Murray and Karen Carpenter (guilty pleasure)

Miranda Lambert has some good stuff. The song, "The House that Built Me" hits me pretty hard in the feels, as the kids say.

Laura Branigan - Ahmet Ertegun, Atlantic Records co-founder, said she was the purist female vocalist he ever heard.

Janis Joplin - "beat weeds", according to her high-school classmate, Jimmy Johnson, the former coach of the Miami Hurricanes and Dallas Cowboys. Radical. Irreverent. Folksy. Her live performances are stuff of legend.

No Doubt - however, anything new by Gwen Stefani makes me swallow my puke as I'm driving down the road. It's bananas...b-a-n-a-n-a-s.

Has Florence and The Machine done anything new lately? I know she's gone on to do collaborations that have been great.

The lead singer for Company of Thieves is woefully underrated from the same time..

Chvrch. Lady Gaga. Bout it. Majority of the have zero true talent

Chvrches? niceee.

That name made me think of another band with a vowel replacement, PVRIS. Not sure this lead singer has fully shown here capabilities. But she can sing and she's smoke. 1:30 in for the chorus.

Minnie Riperton. This version of "Inside My Love "was so good, the videographer recorded it twice. Not many vocalists can hit the whistle register but Minnie did it with ease. Breast cancer took her way too early.

Patsy Cline. They don't play her much these days because she puts modern country to shame.

Syd tha Kyd is fascinating . She is lesbian and looks like Sammy Davis Jr reincarnated as a woman. But The Internet is a damned good band.
