The women come into Spring ranked #83, making them the 9th highest ranked out of 16 teams entered. Lu and Truong have been the steadiest performers. They really need others to step up.

1st Round is underway. Lu is off to a good start at 2 Under after 6

Some day I'll learn to wait before saying anything till way after the round is done. The scoreboard had 2 Under for Lu after 6 and no score at all for teammate Joline Truong. Turned out Truong was the one -2 after 6 and Lu was not playing as well. Ok enough of that.

In today's 1st Round Rutgers shot 16 Over 304, landing them tied for 10th with Mercer and Oklahoma in the 16 team field. Canadian Soph Truong and Ohio's Frosh Ellie Ryu led RU with 2 Over 74s. They're tied for 18th out of 90. Soph Judy Amano shot 75. RSJR Lu, who has been RU's top player the past 1.5 years, shot 81 after a very rough Back 9. Jr Emily James came in with an 82. Playing as an individual, Jr Krystal Li shot 76.

Tennessee's Madison Messimer and Georgia's Karoline Tuttle share the Individual lead at 3 Under.

Top 5 Teams

1.#30 Kentucky....................Even
2. #24 Tennessee................+1
3. #67 Georgia.....................+5
4. #105 Florida Atlantic.....+7

The other B1G team entered, #36 Indiana, is T6 after shooting +12

Tomorrow's 2nd Round finds Rutgers paired with #26 Oklahoma and #87 Mercer going off #10.

RU's most experienced player coming into '25-'26, Jr Lorena Rossettin, missed the Fall and is still out due to an injury.

In today's 2nd Round Rutgers improved their score by 11 strokes with a team 293 (+5) but didn't help position wise, dropping 2 spots to 12th at +21 as most teams saw much better scores. For example, Cincinnati improved 31 strokes, Fla Int'l 27, #24 Oklahoma improved by 24, and #40 Clemson saw them best Round 1 by 20.

Japan's Soph Judy Amano led the team with an Even Par 72. She was followed Grace Lu, who shot 1 Over 73, an 8 stroke improvement. Ellie Ryu shot her 2nd 74. Wales Jr Emily James also improved by 8 strokes, also shooting 74 and Joline Truong carded a 78. Playing as an individual, Krystal Li also shot 74.

Tennessee's Kyra Van Kan (-7) moved into 1st on the strength of a 7 Under 65. She holds a 2 stroke lead over teammate Madison Messimer.
