Wonder if the Committee will take our injuries into account?

If there is any formula at all other than plain W-L, we have to make it. Especially if money is a factor. Well sell 2x as many tickets as any other 2 sites combined.

And I really don't think they played as big a part as most say they do. But they have to notice how we've closed the season out. And they'll definitely take that into account. We're a #2 seed at worst. And if we beat Kentucky tomorrow, we've got a good chance to host for the first time in 9 years.

You dont think we could have used Demarcus Henderson the 25 games he was out with a broken hand?
You dont think a healthy CT Bradford batting .300 in the 2-hole ahead of Porter and Renfroe would be big for us?
You dont think Renfroe would have been more consistent without all the nagging injuries?
You dont think Norris is having a tough time playing on one healthy knee?
Bracewell has hardly pitched- he is one of the 3 best pitchers we have. Think that's not a big part?
Taylor Stark was supposed to be one of our best hitters- and he has hardly been able to play this year because of injuries

We have had to play Pollerena in the OF, which has taken away from his pitching- and also had to call Fullerton back from Spring Break and burn his redshirt because of injuries.

If that's not a big deal- what exactly would be to you?

It would. Our run coincided with us getting healthy. Imagine that.

Most of our losses the first five weeks were pretty close and to pretty good competition.

But as I have said- no one really knows whether they will or not.

in the last half of the season. If we're not in, then somebody has seriously pissed somebody off on the selection committee. I'm looking at you, LT.

They would probably use the injuries as a way of getting us into the tourney if we were on the bubble...but I doubt they will give us the injury nod when it comes to hosting. It's already tough to narrow host sites down for them, and they know we're not going to be pissed or expecting it either way, so they can just give us a top #2 seed. And personally, I would rather have a top #2 seed and be facing the worst #1 in a Regional. That way we have a better chance at a Super. Once we get in a Super with our full pitching staff rested and only needing 2 wins....I feel like we can beat any team in the country, even if it's one of the top 8 national seeds.

In other words, I would rather face a top 8 National seed in a best 2 of 3 Super, than in a Regional where other teams will use some of our pitching up and make it tougher in that Championship game. Being a high #2 gives us that better setup. Maybe I'm way off though.
