@DarylNorris5: Everyone keep @B_Woody24 in your thoughts and prayers this morning as he goes through surgery. Ready to see him back on the mound.

I know at gov cup he was mid 80's with his fast ball hitting 88 a few times. Gotta be something wrong when you go from 94 to 86.

Sounds

like it may be something like an appendix rupturing or something along those lines, based on that tweet. I would think if it was related to his arm/baseball, Cohen would have mentioned it. Who knows?

Elbow surgery.

Maybe part of his struggles were mental, but the nagging elbow has to explain a good bit of it, especially if he's having surgery.

I got a text this morning that it was bone spurs... not a 100% reliable source, though.

I heard it was bone chips. At any rate, he is having whatever is bothering him removed and he should be good to go for next year. Basically, it would either bother him or it wouldn't. When it wasn't bothering him- see South Alabama. Whe it was- see Governor's Cup.

Hopefully his pitching ability recovers, if not, I'm all for giving him a look in the OF. He was suppose to be a very good hitter coming out of HS.

I work with someone close to the family and if I understood correctly he has a small hairline fracture and they decided to have it repaired now. He is expected to fully recover and be back soon but not this season. I think he will be a good ballplayer for y'all and I sincerely hope he makes it to the next level when his career at State is over.

Now I promise I won't smack talk and only comment on NON-OM/State issues. Like the Imissplatinumplus posts because I was a card carrying member and I REALLY do miss Platinum Plus.

I would much rather him be out due to an injury rather than due to a mental issue.

He will be fine. It's not a major surgery. more a discomfort ailment then structural. I expect him to have a sophomore to junior jump like Stratton.
