That gives us a greater than 50% chance of starting 2-0. <div>
</div><div>If UAB is our Saturday 2 opponent, save Stratton, though.</div>

Samford's ace, Josh Martin, is 12-1 with a 2.96 ERA and 90 Ks in 103 innings. He won at Oklahoma prior to the Southern Conference tournament. <div>
</div><div>They're hitting .307 as a team with 62 homers (6th in the country). They have six .300+ hitters, and they also have the nation's leader in homers in Brandon Miller (22 homers this season). And as mentioned, they beat Auburn and Florida, along with winning one of three at Oklahoma. </div><div>
</div><div>Considering that they're a good hitting team with a quality ace and some of our non-conference losses this season, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Stratton starts. I trust Graveman/Woodruff/Lindgren/Pollorena/Bracewell to beat Samford, but I don't know if it'd really be wise to take that chance. </div>

give us a breakdown on Samford's season and discuss their roster, since you are such a college baseball expert.

if we lose the first one the odds of winning the regional are about ******%. Ideally we want Stratton vs FSU but if we lose game 1 without him then we are facing most likely an elimination game vs UAB in which we would be forced to use our 1st round draft pick against UAB. No choice here, it has to be Stratton in game 1.

have to take a shot at Samford with anyone other than Chris. The road to a Super Reg goes through Fla St.

Coach Cohen is not going to tell his plan to the Clarion Ledger or any sports write at this time. That would be foolish and a game plan will be laid out. We will hold our cards so that FSU or UAB or Samford does not know.
