Samford's ace, Josh Martin, is 12-1 with a 2.96 ERA and 90 Ks in 103 innings. He won at Oklahoma prior to the Southern Conference tournament. <div>
</div><div>They're hitting .307 as a team with 62 homers (6th in the country). They have six .300+ hitters, and they also have the nation's leader in homers in Brandon Miller (22 homers this season). And as mentioned, they beat Auburn and Florida, along with winning one of three at Oklahoma. </div><div>
</div><div>Considering that they're a good hitting team with a quality ace and some of our non-conference losses this season, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Stratton starts. I trust Graveman/Woodruff/Lindgren/Pollorena/Bracewell to beat Samford, but I don't know if it'd really be wise to take that chance. </div>
