Of course, comparing them to our WRs during the Crxxm era isn't exactly what you'd call setting the bar high.</p>

the thought of having two 6'5" receivers (Mcrae and Wilder) in our top WR rotation blows my mind.... where are our white guy walk-on starters that i am so used to?

McRae is a walk-on. Wilder is a greyshirt (basically a walk-on).

But buy in bulk.

Buy more from a coaching standpoint.

Hold on whether how much it will impact us this season simply because of so many unproven players. We will see how they do against SEC caliber DBs.

But I say again, the potential is there to be way better than we have been in the immediate past.

When you start Will Prosser at WR, you are in pretty bad shape. It's almost unbelievable that Croom made so much money considering how terrible he and his staff were at evaluating talent. Simply put, MSU got ripped off big time.

Not because of talent level, but because of coaching. We had some good talent come in under Crooms that was wasted.

Some people talk about a lack of depth, but I think it's relative because of the offense we are going to run. We may not have the 9 WR's that Mullen wants, but I think we have enough, and we can be creative with some guys like Marcus Green and Robert Elliott that aren't prototype WR's, but can be used in the slots and can create mismatches.

McRae is proven, and is healthy, from what I understand.
I think O'Neal Wilder, Leon Berry, and Chad Bumphis will all have a pretty good season. I know they are unproven, but they are also going to get the ball. They are going to have chances to make plays simply because of that.

I've heard a lot about Brandon Heavens and Chris Smith as well, so you have to figure that they may get in on the action as well.

...I'm leaning buy, but it's kinda hard to know what kinda WRs we have had recently with Money Mike and Wildman Wes throwing to them, and them having to try to get open by running triple-move routes that take about ten minutes to develop.

If this year's talent can play focused and coached up (rather than Croomed down) they will be serviceable for SEC play. Hopefully no more 5 yard routes on 3rd and 10.
