No effin **** big boy! You don’t need to own a distillery to make a point. Read:

So... when someone asks, ‘what products stand up to Kentucky Bourbon?’ - would you agree that Smoke Wagon, Jos Magnus fit the bill?

these products have NOTHING to do with KY.

derp.

Actually no they don’t hold up. Not even close to be honest.

Maybe get your taste back from Covid, I guess, then get back to comparing your **** list to Ky Bourbon.

Maybe too much malt off the floor, but that’s just an opinion.

Ok. Keep the myth alive as you’re slinging more MGP.

Myth? Dude I didn’t say MGP isn’t good quality, but if you think it compares to bourbons going for 10x retail on secondary then it doesn’t take much to back up what I’m saying, it doesn’t compare.

Even they saw a need to get in on Ky Bourbon when they spent millions to take over Lux Row.

"Government, they wrote us a letter, and 1941 that basically says we’ve tasted your product. And we have to agree that you don’t have the character that’s typical of bourbon whiskey. Therefore, if you want to label yourself a Tennessee whiskey, we won’t contest it any longer."

Jeff Arnett in the interview linked
That doesn't say it isn't bourbon, it says the government isn't going to allow them to continue to us Tennessee Whiskey on the label.

He also says "According to NAFTA, it is." and "There is nothing that disqualifies it."

Show me where it says bourbon on a Jack Daniels bottle.

80 do you at least admit to knowing anything with 51% corn or more is considered a bourbon?

Jack Daniels is legally Bourbon, it’s also Tennessee Whiskey by name originally, then by law a few years ago. It’s both.

Whistle Pig is rye, mostly Canadian Rye. Their Piggy Back rye is their own. Great visit if you’re ever up that way. Middle of nowhere but really cool.

yes, there are Kentucky based distilleries using MGP liquid. Best examples were the 10yr to 14yr Boone County’s that haven’t been in market for a couple of years. Current Boone County is MGP 6yr. Also, the original OKI brand, before launching NewRiff distillate. Had some OKI 12yrs that were incredible.

NuLu, here in Louisville selling MGP 5/6 year. The toasteds are pretty good for toasted bourbon.

My favorite movie of all time The Hustler starring Paul Newman.. I'm only 29 FYI not an old guy.

However I wanted to try the JTS Brown that Newman was drinking.... NASTY! It was okay mixing some coke in but straight never again.
