I get both sides of the student/attendance coin. Most of us were students at one point as well. I understand that it was hot. I understand that the first half product was ****, but we weren't losing nor were we ahead by a safe margin by any means at the half. I understand that the temptation and relatively easy access to The Junction wasn't there when many of us were students. That being said, I've only left 1 State game, in any sport, early. And that was two years ago when aTm & Johnny came to town. I don't know why, but I stayed through the entirety of The Main debacle.
For the "adults" with young kids, I understand the need to leave. If many of the students got better tickets on the east and west, then good for them. That's on the "adults" as we're calling them. I'll agree that it wasn't just our new bowled in section that was empty after the half, when the announcer who wasn't Tim Couch was commenting on our history, but almost both upper tiers and a huge swath of the East side.
Long post short: I can't entirely blame anyone for leaving, however the students don't have young kids to attend. Learn how to get alcohol into the game damnit, and stay in support of your fellow students.
