Worst WR group in WVU history?

Won't say they suck.
Will say they are physically weak. Weak hands and weak legs.
We don't have a QB that can hit the deep throw to open up the defense nor receivers who are strong enough to win one-on-one jump balls. A defense doesn't have to respect it, we know its not likely to work anyway so we don't even try it.

A trick I heard WR coaches doing to improve hand-eye coordination is to buy Brown markers and paint tennis balls brown, then have WR's catch them from the tennis ball machine. Some coaches use tennis balls, but Ive only heard of one painting them Brown, which I thought was a nice extra touch to get them used to catching something smaller with their hands...
We have to keep in mind, these WR's are mostly Fresh & Soph, even Tavon & Stedmen wasnt that great their Fresh or Soph years, while drops may have not been the issue productivity will improve as they mature & develop.
We must keep in mind how young this team is when analyzing results. Personally, when you look at our teams youth, I think Brown is doing a fantastic job having them in a position to win. Proof patience will be extremely rewarding for us.

When Tavon and Steadman were Freshman we had Geno Smith, Jarret Brown, Jock Sanders, JD woods, Will Johnson, Shawne Alston, Noel Devine.
Worst pattern: NOT improving game to game, particularly the offense.
If offense matched the defense quality WVU would be in the Big 12 title chase.

The Defense gave up 27 points and allowed Texas Tech's offense--led by a true freshman/third-string running back to chew up 4-5 minutes of the clock late in the game, so tap the brakes on the defense resembling the 1985 Chicago Bears. The impressive defensive stats were compiled against very poor offenses for the most part. The offenses of Oklahoma, Texas, and Iowa State will present bigger challenges to WVU's defense than any opponent has thus far.

I would like to see the wide receivers turned the corner and start making plays. At a initial glance the YAC appears to be the first priority on the majority of the cases.
