I've had the last straw with him over this Ron Polk and his marry little band of misfits situation. The new Ron Polk forums, constant morning coffee break, where he insists on trying say there are bright spots in the middle in of a 6 game losing streak. On top of that, David Murray jumps down in the pit with him and writes an article of how our team is clinching onto hopes of making the SEC tourney. We haven't won an sec series, we're two or more games back from 11th place in the conference, and we just got swept in a midweek series at southern, and it's almost May. I mean give me a damn break, we're the worst team in the land. **** and I don't even like baseball. Enough of this dementiated hootenanny. Everybody boycott mean gene and join the junction in 2008!

..........I'm with you on being annoyed by the incessant and ridiculous blind optimism that pours out from every orifice in Gene's Happy Land. That's why I stopped posting there two years ago and I haven't regretted it one bit.
Contrary to popular belief among some people, I love optimism and being positive, and I prefer it a hell of a lot more than being negative. HOWEVER, I also take pride in being practical and realistic and facing the various realities of life, including sports. The reason I'm negative about MSU sports is because I'm not happy with the results and I expect something much better. And when I see that things are headed in the right direction, and that it's not just a fluke, then I'm going to jump on board the pollyanna bandwagon.</p>

Why would any of you be shocked. This is the same idiot who has been defending LT for decades and has banned any person who tried to educate his board on anything that was wrong or could be fixed with competent leadership. The idiot still has Leghumper and in his archives keeps the letter from one of the cigar boys defending how they have screwed MSU for years. Most folks left his board or will soon.
