Would the real MSU D stand up. We held Cam University to 17

and gave up 24 to UAB? Perhaps we were keeping it vanilla, but c'mon Manny.

Dan, you're supposed to a QB maker, here's your chance to work miracles. Make the Real Deal at least a proficient passer.

The Florida game and rating cool aide still had us hungover. After getting a little hair of the dog last night we'll be OK next week.

I doubt very seriously that we hold him to 17 points if we played again next week.

After the AXX wippin Cam put on LSU we should be glad we were playing UAB last night. Florida and UAB both moved on us in the air. We had better figure out a way to put more pressure on QB and get the QB passing figured out or when we play the coming big boys they will be playing pitch and catch. Hopefully, our backfield will be healthy next week and Def will look at a different pass coverage than past two weeks.

This defense has given up tons of big pass plays to wide open receivers, and when they do cover the receivers they aren't able to contain mobile QBs. I was surprised UF did not attempt to throw deep more often, but that was at least partially due to the massive pass rush MSU was getting.

I look for McElroy and Mallet to have big days against MSU's D (Of course, MSU will score a lot of points on Arkansas as well). Not sure about UK and UMiss, but if they can defend the rush they will get some big plays too.

As discussed on ESPN, Cam didn't face full contact in the Spring or in August, because Auburn does not tackle its QBs (no one does anymore). Even though Cam was elusive in practice, they didn't really know what a stud he was. He got most of his yards against MSU by scrambling, but now they are calling a lot more designed runs for him. They even run the "Wildcat" and just leave him in as the Wildcat QB.</p>

They only have to defend the run, since Relf is so terrible at throwing with accuracy. They canplay one on one coverage with their corners and put the pressure on our running game. Same goes for KY and the MS Bears.
