I doubt he ever makes it to campus.

But how in the hell do you know anything about his attitude? Folks on the coast think he very confident and I have no problem with that. All I know is he is a big time player and we need these type of players who can make a difference. I am totally amazed how our own fans belittle 17 and 18 year old kids. I know that Dan Mullen and our strength coach can mold a lot of kids into men. Give it a rest.

We have a segment of fans that need to stop posting about recruiting. It's either:

A) Bitching because Mullen isn't signing enough players with enough "stars" to satisfy them.
B) A highly rated player commits and then we get that either he won't qualify, everyone else backed off, or my favorite, because of last year, a commitment now doesn't matter because we know we won't manage to hold him til February because we all know UM will buy him last minute. And posting this seems to be the cool thing for some people.

And not to go all genespage-ish, if you don't think people monitor EVERY MSU board and take something like this "attitude" comment back to a player saying that "hey man...half of the State fans think your attitude sux" you are naive.

I'm not trying to be an ***, I just want to know, what's the point of posting that on a message board about a very quality player that has just cast his lot to play for your school?? It's like getting a date with a hot model and renting a billboard by her house that says she's a slut. Chances are..you might not get to find out.

As for his grades..come on guys, he may or may not have some work to do but he's got an ENTIRE senior year to do it. Let's just be happy we got another Dandy Dozen great DL and see what happens. Sorry for the rant.

You summed this up perfectly. I understand the joy of posting here because everyone can speak their mind. It comes a point and time that you need to use common sense with what you say. Random internet poster guy will see no personal reprecussions of posting crap, but just know that Nix and his croniesarepeeping over your shoulder. That post is a perfect example of what I would look for if I was them. It's not paranoid conspiracy, Gene's Page-ish either now that we haveconfirmation that they do use internet postings against us. Whytalk poorly about someone thatjust committed to your university just so in February you can build your internet cred with an Itold you so iftheydon't sign with us or don't qualify?

From what little video I've seen, James looked like a man child, huge and quick. I don't know about the attitude, grades, all that other garbage people are throwing out, but I would like to see us sign the guy, so I say very good pick up.

What the 17 board am I on? Is this not sixpackspeak.com? I know y'all can say whatever you want to my post but geez. If you don't yank it to a commit around here you get taken to the firing line. I have a friend who recruits for a D-1 staff in the Southeast, and he tells me that James will never make it to a D-1 campus.

Continue with your man crush over a 17 year old boy.

I always laugh at folks who will never admit they screwed up. Powe, Brassell, Singleton , and numerous others got in so why shouldn't Nick? Dumb17ers who don't know better can hurt recruiting. Nix and the rest of his bagmen coaches read these boards every day and don't think for a minute they don't copy and paste and give it to prospects. Other schools are still trying to recruit Nick so there must be a lot of D-1 recruitors who think differently than your so-called friend.

Evans, Ward, Brown.

Then throw in AJ Jefferson and Vernon Butler too! That would be awesome.
