wow ...out-played and terribly out-coached.

How disappointing...I had to turn it off. Year three and he hasn't proven anything (except that he can get a contract extension). Yes...7 wins (which will be the ceiling for this team). This schedule was as easy as it could be and Nebraska still has managed to look unprepared....uncoached....unready to play.
2 games that - on paper at least - should not have come close to blowout losses. The program is still in the toilet.

This IS Nebraska football. The critics were correct that after TO left, Nebraska would never again have championship football. They were 100% correct.
Had nothing to do with TO. Barry got fired and and TO finally paid the recruits. If Barry never resigned TO would have been fired. Tommy and the boys were all heading to OU u til Barry was gone w.

Our dipshit fans will sell out the stadium again because they don’t know any better
nah, there is just no other competition for your Saturday game days... one of the lowest population states in the country.. to be fair, we are probably over achieving compared to many other programs running a D1 college football program.

Just watch the games. Trust your eyes . Don't listen to those people. Did your eyes tell you that Nebraska was the better team with better talent? Or did you buy into the hype?

I'm different I guess but i simply watch the game and know what I'm looking at. If you thought this was a good matchup for Nebraska I'm not sure what you been watching all year. Iowa I a horrible matchup as well. Simply put this conference REQUIRES u to have good line play if you wanna win at a high level.

But that’s my concern. Rhule has spent 3 years building a team to compete in the Big 12, not Big 10. Hard to believe it, but this was the team and staff he wanted in year 3! But to his credit, it got him extended.

At least the DL is young and shows promise but man, the OL cupboard is bare.

That's a fair assessment I think. We absolutely should and need to be better in the trenches on both side. A good OL and DL coach is worth their weight in gold. I'm not sure we have that. I think the OL talent we have gotten in on paper looks to be pretty good. Imo Donnie is the walking definition of an average coach. Guys need to reach their full potential under a coach and I'm not sure they are.

It's hard to say on the DL coach. It's his first year and he has a ton of pups to work with. But I think the sample si,e with Donnie is big enough.

BS. Nobody would have accepted that we would lose 37-10 to Penn State. This team was supposed to be the year 3 Matt Rhule turnaround. At this point in his tenure, we should be expecting wins and competitive losses.

You are correct, 99% of Nebraska fans at the start of the season figured we would lose this game, just that all expected Penn State to have more than 4 wins.
He's not correct about anything. Lying through his teeth like he, dinglefritz, and co. constantly do. Noone would have been satisfied with a 37-10 loss to PSU. Let alone it happened to a 4 win squad. Just complete BS.

Maybe Rhule should spend less time on McAfee and any other TV show that will allow him on and more time coaching...then maybe they could beat an average football team. The guy is a creepy bastard and average at best football coach
Hey, maybe Matt Rhule should coach less. Trying to coach more obviously isn't working. The more these coaches try to make these kids better, the worse they get.
If you want to make some season ending money, bet Iowa.

So after all the bloviating about how Rhule absolutely kills it in Year 3, this is all well and good because it’s just due to a lack of talent? How many times does the goal post get moved for this guy?
People are just helpless to make changes themselves and have to just assume the best. This is why every pathetic coach is loved by a portion of the fan base up to the end because of mindless hope. IMO the huskers are only here to entertain fans...you either entertain by winning or fans will take a chunk of flesh if you are losing. Either way is entertainment. College football players and coaches seem to think they make millions because we like them so much, but to the contrary, they must offer us entertainment...good or bad or the gravy train is over.

I wish Donnie was the walking definition of an average coach. He seems pretty below average to me. Talent evaluation and development are awful. You combine that with the offensive scheme and you get a bad outcome.

It really makes me wonder what Rhule sees/wants. And that, to me, is concerning.

I think we are in complete agreement but wanted to emphasize that Donnie is not average.
