Wow! WVU basketball schedule is tough!

Despite complaints about the quality of WVU’s basketball schedule only THREE teams on the schedule have LOSING records so far this season.

That would be Pitt at 5-7, Elon at 3-10 and Radford at 4-8.

In contrast, among future WVU opponents this season, the WORST W-L is Oklahoma State’s 9-4.

Future opponents Baylor and Iowa State are undefeated and TCU and Kansas have one loss.

Baylor is ranked #1 nationally, Kansas #7, Iowa State #9, Texas #16, Texas Tech #25.

Anyone who pisses on WVU’s schedule toughness should check the records first.

The Youngstown result tonight will give them another chance to make themselves look foolish.

How WVU basketball opponents have fared in 2021

Oakland 7-4

Pitt 5-7

Elon 3-10

Marquette 8-5

Clemson 8-4

Eastern Kentucky 7-6

Bellarmine 6-8

Radford 4-8

Connecticut 10-3

Kent State 5-5

Alabama-Birmingham 9-3

Youngstown 7-3

FUTURE OPPONENTS

Texas 8-2

TCU 10-1

Kansas State 8-3

Oklahoma State 7-4

Kansas 9-1

Baylor 11-0

Texas Tech 8-2

Oklahoma 9-2

Fume at the numbers, not me. Only 3 teams on WVU's schedule having losing records. That says a lot. If you want to disprove it, then provide the numbers that will do that.

According to your numbers there are 4 teams with losing records. The three you listed and Bellermine at 6-8.

So what if the WVU opponents all played middle school teams?

I get the schedule this year as compared to last year (for example). Last year had several key players back and WVU / Huggins would play anyone, anywhere. Example the call to play the #1 Gonzaga last year.

This year with no experience on the front line and at the point guard position, the schedule was dialed back to break in several new players.

The lack of anyone stepping up on the frontline to establish any dominance on the boards plus what awaits WVU in conference, that is why it may not end well for this post season. I hope I’m wrong, but …… we need a big man.

I AGREE WITH YOUR WORRY ABOUT REBOUNDING AND THE INCREDIBLE MOUNTAIN OF BIG 12 BASKETBALL, BUT WVU'S OPPONENTS DIDN'T ALL PLAY MIDDLE SCHOOL TEAMS.

Lol...everytime the pretend sports expert lists one of these novels he misses some numbers. Standard for the aging wannabe.
