JUCO OT Willie Tyler just committed to Texas.

Good to see WV has a similar idea on OL.

Needs to be a freight train with a Ferrari engine.
Dominate the LOS but be able to use speed in space.

Scott Frost talks about it at Nebraska.
Oklahoma has done it with their OL. They average 6-6 320 lbs

Willie Tyler will be on the losing end when he plays Wvu. Schools from Texas are Wvu's ***** but anyone who actually went there would know that.

It was about timing .
Texas motivated this recruit to be able to graduate early from a junior college.
If Texas wasn't involved this recruit would have been a 2020 recruit.
Probably would have had a lot of schools interested.

Plus the sports management program at Texas is one of the best in the country.
Guess he is interested in that as a major.

I watched, dayuum! Four star, 5'11" 200 lbs of lean muscle. Built like a taller Tavon Austin. This kid is going to be special wherever he goes and I hope it's WVU.

Wonder the numbers he will put up at the camps this spring.
Interested in his vertical(explosiveness), shuffle and 40 speed.

He has some size. But when I saw him stretch runs to the outside that burst of quickness was not there against football players in New York.
He may not have home run speed at the college level.

Still a good quality back.
Here is home run speed at the high school level.

That kid is killer fast and he is also a good runner, most aren't both. Speed alone does not do it. You also have to have a move, power, and balance. Bo Jackson comes to mind with his 6'1" 229 lb frame and 4.2 40 speed. He was a freak of nature with an Achilles heel. Link

But then there was some guy named Emmitt Smith who had the moves and the power and simply refused to go down. His actual college combine speed was 4.8 in the 40. He did OK if I remember correctly. You remember him? LOL

I think he is a quality back.
Similar to David Montgomery. Texas has a RB similar to him in Keaontay Ingram.

Don't get me wrong.

But someone that will have to earn it in the weight room.
Break tackles.

But they aren't huge backs so they have a shelf life.
About 5-11 to 6-1 at most 225-230.
If you have a good OLine you can maintain their shelf life.

How you get your yards?
OLine or speed.

What I showed you is a back that could run like that on the college level.
Doesn't have to break many tackles. Especially with an OLine. If not has the speed.
Similar to a Justice Hill from Oklahoma State.
Even the Canadian RB Hubbard at Oklahoma State.

How would you know you have never been there.

So at 5'8" and 216 lbs Emmit Smith couldn't hack it? He played 15 seasons in the NFL. Pretty good shelf life. At 5'8" and 203 lbs. a guy named Barry Sanders did pretty well with a 4.37 40 time but he only lasted 10 years.

Don't know Constant's speed, but he appears to be the real deal. He's got his mind right, that means a lot.

Smith ran behind one of the best OLs for a few years.
Nasty OL that destroyed the LOS.
Worked as an unit.
Then ran behind Larry Allen. The greatest OG in football for the last 35+ years.

Barry was a dancer. Didn't break too many tackles. Great vision though.

I think the recruit is a decent back.
Point is that he will need to earn in the weight room.

With an OLine could be a big yardage back.
Without.
Needs to get bigger. Could be a great back once fully developed.

Let me say this about Constant. Right now he's a high school kid that is solid muscle at 5'11" and 200 lbs. He may or may not reach six foot but who cares? His college playing weight will likely be between 210 - 215. He is a very determined young man on and off the field and WVU or any other team would be fortunate to have him.

I don't know who Texas is recruiting this year nor do I care. As a prominent and historically successful member of the B12 I want to see them win nearly every time they take the field except against the Mountaineers.

Keep in mind that this is a WVU centric board and that's who non trolls care about. I would never go on a Texas fan board offering judgement regarding their recruits while extolling the virtues of WVU. TownesVanZandt, you are obviously intelligent and articulate. Why come here just to gradually cause more and more WVU fans to ignore you? Just curious.

What do you want me to say?

He is a future first round pick, one of the best backs I have seen, fast and powerful or how about future Heisman winner.
Best RB at West Virginia since...well..forever.

I see a lot of these players and have a good idea about where they are at.
I liked certain things about him..You called him a bigger Tavon Austin. Far from the truth.

Don't always feel like you are under attack.

The RB can be good...

It is all mental.
Meaning how bad does he want to be the beat and who else is there pushing him to be the best.

He has natural athletic talent but not freakish.
He needs to be developed and his development is based on him

There are two different types of yards
Yards Before Contact
Yards After Contact

If a RB doesn't have the elusiveness nor OL than he needs the body.
That takes time.

When I compared him to Tavon it was strictly his muscularity. LOL Kevin White was like that his senior year also. If you want to reach your genetic potential as far as muscle development, Mike Joseph can get you there.

This kid has a lot of potential but that's all it is until he shows something against a P5 opponent. I will say this, he is from Haiti and he is not going back.

I agree that he could be good.
But that is on him. Unless I know him personally I couldn't tell you. The athletic ability isn't jaw dropping.

The video I showed you is of a sophomore. Plus one that supposedly ran near a 4.4 40 at 16.
Athletically he is jaw dropping.
Even with that. He needs to get stronger .Reason why he goes down when someone wraps him up.

Smith can play multiple positions, both offense and defense. He is projected to be an inside receiver at WVU. According to Steve Witltfong of Eersports, "Smith caught 53 passes for 1,173 yards and 20 touchdowns as a junior. In his career he’s caught 139 balls for 2,875 yards and 44 scores, averaging 20.7 yards per reception."

"On defense, Smith has 19 career interceptions, he’s forced seven fumbles and broke up 29 passes. Three of those picks he’s run back to the end zone."

He is being trained by Chris Vaughn of Aspirations in Louisville. Vaughn's training is football specific and he has an impressive resume'. He calls Smith the best player in the state.

It's pure favoritism on Brown's part. His high school, an undersized WR, in a state that's not West Virginia. There are currently 238 six star slot receivers in the state of WV, and they should all be on the field for WVU at the same time........

I think I just got a sarcasm cramp.
