Saw on Twitter that danhausen’s shirt is toward the top of wwe merch this week, lol. I can’t help but like that guy.
Penta and Rey Fénix didn’t go thru this. They both debuted basically immediately and stayed on TV
I always wondered how that worked. Same problem the NCAA used to have with the on-court logos because they were stickers instead of painted on and then glazed over or whatever the proper term is for the shiny, waterproofing treatment they apply over top the wood and paint.
It's the cheapest and most efficient way to do it but not the safest. I don't know of any other practical way to do it on a ring mat though unless you bypass having it visible to the people in the arena and add it on digitally for the home viewing audience. If you do it as a patch then it's going to create an uneven surface that the wrestlers could trip on so that's not any better.

I feel like WWE is going to try their hardest to overexpose Danhausen's bit into the ground trying to bleed every since cent of merch out of it, so hopefully he and WWE are able to learn how to diversify his comedy while maintaining his trademark zaniness while also rotating him around their respective territories (NXT, AAA, TNA) to try to prevent the overexposure.
Like the guy doesn't need to be interacting with every single person on the roster on TV or on social media within a month. You've got a million wrestlers, other on-screen personalities, and legends deals. Spread it out. He's an acquired taste for a lot of people, and obviously some never acquire it like with any other form of entertainment to ever exist in all of recorded history, got to be careful from making it feel forced or people are going to start turning on it.

Probably the correlation between him being demoted and Smackdown being enjoyable isn’t a coincidence.
My biggest gripe with sd is they built up the tag division and now they are all in catering bc of the w6 and mft.
ROH’s first broadcast from the studio tapings down in Jacksonville and that studio and setup looks like hot garbage.

I don’t know why both TNA and WWE feel the need to infuse every other Joe Hendry feud with extremely crappy “music” from people who have zero music skills.
I know I'm in the minority but I don't care if a couple of the old guard are still with WWE. People there seem to like Hayes and I have a feeling Bruce is there to be the contrarian and oversee production processes since he's been around for decades. In business if you make an argument, you do need someone there to say "okay but what about this...". He mentioned the idea of Pat beating Gunther (on Unreal which means it could've been a rib) but it didn't happen so why was everyone upset? You want someone fired because they took the contrarian view on an idea? Really?
Monday is how you use Danhausen and I liked that he said he got thunderous applause at EC. This is what's funny about fans online. We convince ourselves that backstage everything is chaos, everyone is upset, and ohhhh buddy Jade is in trouble (!!!) but that doesn't seem like reality.

My friend came over while I was watching Smackdown a few weeks ago. He's not into wrestling anymore, but when Trick came out to the ring my friend asked if Trick's "wrestling personality" is supposed to be something like a wrestling travel agent.
I told him no and asked what he meant by that? My buddy says, Well, this Trick guy came to the ring twice tonight, and both times the crowd started chanting, 'Book that trip'.
Glad to see both Hayes and Trick having success at the same time.
There's three important things needed for success in wrestling, particularly in WWE:
A banger of a theme
A short catchphrase
Actual wrestling talent
Granted, there are exceptions but generally if you've got one of those, you'll get tv time. If you've got two, you'll get some sort of title reign. If you've got all three, you'll be seen as a legend by the end of your career. Jey has two, Cody has all three. Sami has two, Punk has all three. Giulia has two, Stratton has all three.
