I listened to a bit of Bubba and Legrecca while I was driving today. Even those two were mostly positive about the show last night. They griped about the runtime being too long, but other than that, they spoke well of the show.

Maybe the show was actually bad then lol.

I don’t even listen to complaints about run time these days. We know it’s going to go long and TK seems like he’ll never change in that regard so like what’s the point in complaining about it at this point when there’s obviously nothing we can do about it?

If they have Oba lose to Brock there needs t be a criminal investigation. Well another investigation in addition to all the other investigations going on into WWE/TKO.

Hobbs/Royce Keys and WWE were both apparently adamant that he go straight to the main roster instead of NXT. Why then are we now on day 37 and counting of his last appearance on TV if WWE was so adamant about him going to the main roster?

"I know that there's people in Stamford with AEW action figures on their desks. There's people's jobs is to watch AEW programming and report into analytics and different departments on what's going on in AEW. So it's not like a hush-hush thing," TC said.

Would be hilarious if they are using a WWE expense account to buy the PPVs.

I read that and was surprised that even merited an article. I'm sure WWE pays close attention to AEW and vice versa. God knows I'd study the competition with everything in me to try and get an edge.

People don’t have to like him, but Brock is a pro and knows how to make things feel important. Got a little of that Scott Hall mentality in him.
It's why I didn't buy the dirtsheet report that he and Heyman were adamant that Brock must win all his matches before retiring. Now will Brock go 0-5 or something? Doubtful. But he knows the business and probably won't put up a fit if he's told Oba is one of their future guys. He's getting paid millions for an occasional 10 minute match. I think he's fine making Oba look incredible.

Yup he told Oba to put his foot on his chest so he has no problem doing the work for the right opponent.

I saw the move Ospreay did. Besides positioning himself a bit too long (which is what all these guys do so it's whatever) some were pearl-clutching because it's a high risk move and he just got back. It's like, c'mon. I know there's been a lot of close calls in AEW but if you're going to whine that a high flyer is doing a high flying move, maybe just watch amateur mat wrestling or something. I don't recall anyone parenting JD McDonagh after he got back from that awful table spot injury.
By the way, where did you even see this pearl-clutching? I hadn't seen a single bit of it and if there's one thing I know about some AEW fans, it's that they love to point out whenever any random person named AEWsucks42069 says stupid shi* online/podcasts because "got to dunk on 'em!"

Yes because it's bad someone watches AEW. Get over yourself.
C’mon man. I have been posting with you in this thread for years. Your pro AEW/anti WWE bias is pretty evident.

It’s fine. We all have our wrestling opinions and what not, but if this were the basketball board, you’d be labeled an agenda poster.

I’m convinced it’s a TK burner account

I like Dragon’s passion for his promotion of choice and he provides good AEW info. But dude’s totally an IWC-inspired tribalist.

I watch both promotions and will praise and criticize both.

Last 6 years, I thought AEW was better in 2020 and 2021, WWE caught up in 2022 and surpassed them in 2023 and 2024. I feel like AEW trended up in 2025 while WWE started cooling off. I am enjoying AEW more today, but still follow the WWE product. I like having the choice as opposed to the monopoly era.

Mainly on Reddit and it didn't seem like a ton of people but I was slightly annoyed by it lol. Some criticisms I understand but that? Let the guy do what he does best. Every wrestler is going to get injured at some point but there's sometimes an online overprotective thing fans have.

Crazy how one pivot can change the entire trajectory of a career and the butterfly effect on others

I don't play the wrestling morality game because both companies have their issues. WWE's is a long list going back decades and they're the top dog whose been around much longer so I understand the microscope being on them more. However, the amount of attention the Jade/Piper/Rhea thing got compared to Ricochet telling a stranger he's glad they've got MS and calling someone else who posted that they're struggling with mental health issues a pu$$y is insane. He's since apologized (for the MS comment) but that's not 'heel' behavior and I have seen some fans defend him. Imagine how nuts it would be if Dom did this?

I'm just saying, his crap behavior online should be getting more attention than some dumb wrestling spat on X and the excuses given for him since he arrived in AEW and turned into whatever this is is something else. I'll step off my platform now.

If Ricochet is trying to “play heel” and “work” fans on the internet, he sucks at it. He just comes across looking like an a-hole.

He seems really insecure and immature.

He was better under a hood dressed like a puma.

I don't know everything MJF has ever said on social media but I think he plays it well and what he does is clearly not malicious. Bruce Campbell of Evil Dead fame does the same at Cons. He'll have this playful arrogant persona when everyone knows he adores his fans. I've just never seen a wrestler hit someone's weakest point which is a disease like Ricochet did. I do think most fans are like "wtf" and want him to shut up but just like there's fans wishing Vince would return, the guy does have some supporters who think this is just online heel work.

Seems like nearly every injury occurs on pretty routine spots too. Like think of all the stuff Darby has done inside the ring and real life, and he broke his ankle on a routine dive, not even his usual kamikaze style dive that only an insane person would do.

Firing him over it seems a bit extreme, especially since he’s already apologized. Though he was probably told he had to do it, so you have to at least question the sincerity of it.

A suspension is certainly fair, but firing? Nah, unless there is noticeable business blowback for it, but he’ll probably be off tv for this Dynasty PPV cycle so I doubt there will be anything notable in that regard.

Didn’t Sammy Guevara tweet about raping Sasha Banks or something like that? He didn’t even get fired over that, and that’s potentially a felony offense.

It took so long for him to apologize I doubt it was sincere but ya he was told.

Guessing that’s why he dropped the belt?

Id guess he’s put on ice or he ends up in new Japan.

No idea about SG but he’s done a few things not ideal either.

The bigger question is would firing Ricochet be a big loss? The answer is no.
