F it. Can’t handle Pope ball. Can I get in on this? Last I watched was Stone cold and Gold dust etc.

He pushed me to wrestling….get me up to speed…
Just jump in at this point and learn as you go along. Welcome to answer any non-WWE questions you have though.

I will say this week's episode of AEW Dynamite on Wednesday night at 8 pm on TBS and HBO Max is a fairly loaded episode.

Here’s a fun little question: what current Kentucky player in any sport do you think would make the best pro wrestler?

Clara Strack is huge, pretty, reasonably athletic and if you put some muscle on her, she’d be a larger Megan bayne.

Are they all still on payroll? I haven’t heard some of those names in ages.

I would like a job that pays me to sit at home. Lol.
Ya last I checked purazzo was begging to do matches

Melo and Jay were a tag team but I think Jay is going to nxt

Dragon could definitely say but my guess is 75-100% are on payroll

Everyone in the tweet and the image are on the payroll as far as I know.

Other than maybe Lady Frost. I know her contract is expiring any day now if it hasn’t already.

Renegades might not be as that has never been confirmed but they probably are.

As for others in the image…
  • Maya World an ROH regular (where she should be for now)
  • Mercedes will be back in two weeks. This time off was always planned
  • Leila Grey just had knee surgery from an injury that she suffered 106 days ago, the same amount of time she has missed. Why she waited so long for surgery? Haven’t a clue
  • Red Velvet an ROH regular
  • Taya an ROH regular
  • Queen Aminata is preparing for her return from injury
  • Lacey Lane an ROH regular
  • Rachel Ellering a ROH regular and should have been let go ages ago
  • Robyn Renegade a semi ROH regular
  • Trish Adora an ROH regular
  • Ruby Soho is somehow still on maternity leave
  • Diamanté an ROH regular
  • Charlette Renegade might be effectively retired at this point. One match since end of 2023 and zero matches since December 2024. There was an undisclosed health reason that started this absence but not sure if that same reason is why it’s still ongoing.
Everyone else? Your guess as good as mine, but none of them are particularly missed. Generally been over recruited, other than Yuka. She can more than hang with the women getting the TV time in AEW.

Saw highlights of the Roman and Punk stuff. Who is supposed to be the heel here?

I thought Punk was the babyface but Roman kicking his *** was getting cheered like crazy.

Is this just the case of two guys people don’t want to boo so the heel just ends up getting babyface reactions anyway? Not that I have any problem with that, AEW has done it plenty of times, just curious.

Big struggle with Punk/Roman and Cody/Randy. No one knows who the heel is and who the face is.

Still money in Cody as a babyface but I feel like he’s the only one of the four that people could really get behind booing at this point. Cody could be a fantastic heel if they ever have the balls to go full force with it. I question if they do because of merch sales, as seen with the Cena heel turn where they were prioritizing selling merch instead of selling a story and character.

Punk maybe, he has the mic skills to do it without the credibility as an *** kicker in the ring that can make him stay over as a face like someone like Roman, Orton, Brock, etc. can do. He’s also got a bit of the MJF problem though, mic skills so good it’s only inevitable that people cheer him regardless.

Everyone that follows WWE for a living seemingly says people just don’t want to really boo Orton these days.

Bloodline story made Roman basically permanently cheerable. Plus his schedule means he gone long and frequently enough that the new car smell return pops never meet their natural expiration point. Someone has to be extremely irrelevant and/or unpopular not to get them return pops. Even someone as irrelevant as Marko Stunt got a nice return pop for that one random return match against Jack Perry the other year ago.

They got nothing for Tiffy either unless they put her with guilua.

Seems like they are only focused on a few major feuds and the rest kinda filler.

These are my thoughts exactly on Cody. I liked Cody’s midcard heel work ages ago, but he’s definitely getting the Cena treatment. He moves merch and kisses babies, so he’ll be a babyface forever even though the character is already stale. (Comes out in suit, gives breathy promo with lots of big words, makes puppy dog eyes, overcomes all odds to win)

I also think Orton has reached that legend level where he’s getting cheered no matter what.

As for Punk/Reigns, I think someone turns at Mania or close to it. I noticed the Usos are acting a little heelish as well, so I am wondering if they’re going to try to throw the Bloodline back together because when the creative well runs dry, rehash something from the past that was successful.

Also subtly in the background they were walking by a production truck with the rock’s face on it - hidden nugget or coincidence?

Well obviously Kash Daniel is doing it, so I'll go with him.
Well he’s not a current player.

But there’s also Steve Borden Jr., aka Sting’s son, if we’re including past players who are currently wrestling. Apparently he has impressed in his very short career.

Yeah I noticed that after I clicked post that I goofed but couldn't find a delete button. I guess Brandon Garrison could make a pretty good living at it with his size, and agility, and his facials when he gets upset.

I wonder if that is because tickets were slow for a minute, and they want to hit their main storylines to get those ticket sales back to normal levels.

I’ll give WWE credit for thinking outside the box with this ticket perk. It’s really unique things like this that can make things memorable.

Hopefully they at least to get pick the wrestler since they are dropping 11.5K for it. Imagine paying that and you end up getting stuck with someone you hate or some uncultured swine that puts like ketchup on their spaghetti or something deplorable like that.

Especially when tickets for this show are largely going to be bought up by Italians in Italy. Someone that could afford that ticket has likely eaten in some mighty fine dining establishments in the pasta capital of the world.

Pretty sure he was in that stage even before he was old.
I went to a hall of fame induction one time for a coach who was in that stage a life and man was absolutely unhinged in his speech. Was a 18+ sight to behold. Thankfully not like racist grandpa unhinged though because that would have opened up some major personal and professional cans of worms to deal with.

I've been in that stage since I turned 35 :ROFLMAO:

For a company that goes out of their way to make their wrestlers appear bigger than they really are, this seems pretty intentional with Gargano. Combine that with what they are doing with him on the main roster, it seems like they are intent on burying him on the way out the door.

Yup he’s getting punished for ciampa leaving but he always did way better in nxt than main roster
