From that Tupelo guy's blog......
Coach Sylvester Croom was asked almost exclusively about Tyson Lee and the quarterback position in general. Some nuggets:

• "I think I probably do things a little different as far as quarterbacks. I evaluate those guys like I evaluate everybody else. You've got two guys in competition for a spot, and the guy that performs better in practice, that's who I'm going to give the chance to play."

( Saddawg's comment.... Hey Croom, I'd rather you do things like other people do, it seems to work better than your way)

• On LSU game: "I thought we ran better, I thought we caught better, I thought we blocked better. We did execute better at the quarterback position. But I looked at it as more of an overall improvement in our offensive performance. We had far fewer missed assignments in this ballgame than we've had all year."

(Saddawg's comment..... Only took 5 games, huh?)

• On the offensive line: "(Derek) Sherrod had his best game - that's something that you take for granted, but your left tackle missed three weeks of training camp and loses about 10-15 pounds. It's hurt our running game, it's hurt our passing game. Now our starting five guys are starting to come together a little bit, got some continuity there with all of them playing and working together."

• On the modern approach to breaking in QBs: "Now you're just having to play guys so much faster. And you're doing it without a lot of information for it to be based upon. You're having to make decisions based on potential."
(Saddawg's comment.......... er,ruh, what?)
