Said the same thing in the game thread. He caught it with 20 seconds left and 4 MN players well behind him and just one guy on the defensive end. Even if he just dribbles it over half court and wastes 3-4 seconds and gets fouled, we're shooting FTs with maybe 16 seconds left and up 3, instead of giving up possession and them cutting it to 1. We can blame Paul all we want and he was bad, but that play killed the game for us, probably. You'd think he could've made at least 1 of 2 FTs.

THIS

Just the final bullet in a series of bullets...

I'm sure Caleb feels bad eventually missing the free throw but it never should have come to it..

Can you imagine our fan base if we had lost Penn St

It seems like he could have dribbled to the front court and waste time at a minimum.
There was only one guy back. He could have passed to Cliff if the defender came to him for a slam.

Because he has no confidence in his FTs.

Is it possible he doesn't know you only get ten seconds to cross half court. By passing backwards he made it a frantic situation where we had to rush.

I’ve said it before, we were lucky to have 2 composed senior leaders in Geo and Ron. That composure is gone now

See my thread with the pic of Hyatt catching the ball with 20 seconds left. Easily could've done that.

Last 75 seconds were like the Keystons Cops. The team **** the bed. This about sums up what I witnessed during those 75 seconds:

First thing you do in the situation is get over half court and keep your dribble for as long as possible. Frankly, I’m trying to bait the guy left to come at me to give Cliff a dunk. If he doesn’t, just run around as long as they let you. Could have had 13-14 seconds left, shooting free throws. At worst you miss both and you are in a similar situation with 3-4 less seconds than what actually happened. Think about how much a difference 3-4 seconds make at that point.

That was another chance to salt it away. I have no idea what the young man was thinking. Crazy.

I can only guess that he was told to "get it to a guard"....because yes, that's basic.

This is on Pike, Simpson shouldve been in the game for him there.
Been saying this for the past 5 games; Simpson needed to be in the game the last 5 minutes. He‘a one of the only guys who actually wants the ball in his hands.
