WV moves well on offense- fun to watch

Their "offense" consisted of a huge white guy camping out in the lane, forced three pointers, and an occasional drive to the basket. Unless you were being sarcastic, the little basketball cred you have on here just took a hit with that comment.

I did enjoy watching OUR offense quite a bit tonight though. Stansbury did a great job adjusting to whatever D Huggins threw at him.

Stans has been far from perfect, but this idea that he does not actually coach is getting really old. Maybe we could use some brilliant offensive coach assistant, but where did the idea that random guys darting in and out of the lane is the only legitimate set in college basketball come from? I think Stans runs the offense that gives his team the best chance to score, to defend, and to rebound. I'm not wise enough to understand it totally, but I do notice that we usually score more points than our opponents. 72 is not bad against a decent team. I just am skeptical that ouir success is based only on luck and recruiting. I'm pretty sure that I've seen Stansbury coaching basketball.

Just give it a rest. Our offense was fine and we played great defense. We are a different team and that is because mainly Kodi and Ravern are gone and we replaced them with team players. Lewis has developed into a good player and someone has tobe given credit for that too. I am sure you and your cronies are just in a deep depression waiting until we lose a game but this team is good and the top half of the SEC is good too so we will get a decent seed barring any injuries. Most folks at MSu know that Stans is ahell of a lot better coach than you give him credit for and why not just shut the f up until the season plays out. This team will only get better as Hodd, Smith, and Sidney develop and play more. Great win and coaching job by our staff last night so most of us will enjoy it.

just because in football LSU lines up in the I and goes 2 TE's and runs over us with their better players- doesnt mean they have a great offense and everybody should run that<div>
</div><div>WV had alot of movement and what they ran looked very good- we just had better players.</div><div>

But our coach recruited those players and he has them playing as a team. we shot 49% against a good defensive team so we must have a pretty good offense ourselves. I know it kills you but how about giving our staff some credit when it is deserved because we all know you will be all over the board the next time we lose.

Huggins is a great coach but he has NEVER been known as an offensive genius. Defense and rebounding are his calling cards. West Virginia has always been a team that jacks alot of ill advised threes and in general looked no different than a Stansbury coached offense prior to this year.

We did not just "out-talent" West Virginia. Sure we have better players but when Huggins went to that 1-3-1, we killedthem with our ball movement and got wide open looks. Bad move on Huggins part.

I said clearly- I like their movement and spacing on offense- it is very good.<div>
</div><div>That has nothing to do with what kind of shots they take, whether they make or miss them, or what we run.</div><div>
</div><div>And yes- we did out-talent them last night...enjoy Moultrie all you can- he will probably be one and done</div>

got beat by 13.

No surprise that you would like an offense that will get you beat.

Gives you something to ***** about.

I'll take our offense, we won.

talked about stans being terrible because he couldn't utilize Kodi and Ravern, who you pointed out as having nba talent based on draft projections in years past?

The blind hatred some of you guys have for Peaches is palpable. I don't agree with everything he says, but this is just a silly thing to get your panties in a bunch about. It's obvious to anyone that our offense often turns into pass-pass-pass-badshot or dribble-drive-turnover because our "motion" offense is usually quite the opposite. It's also obvious to everyone, including Coach34, that he recruits good enough players to make up for it, so we win games.

Quit bitching about non-existent bitching.

I was at the game last night and West Virginia's offense looked like crap but according to Coach by gosh their spacing was fun to watch. Love to watch me some spacing.

It is just comical the way every loss is Stansbury's fault but every win is just due to our out-talenting teams. Huggins is a good coach but he got outcoached last night. His 1-3-1 defensive switch was a disaster that enabled us to pull away at the end. Not to mention that Moutrie had 3 fouls and Sidney had 4 for about the last 8 minutes and WV did not go right at them inside.</p>

and panties unbunched....

C34 is a master at the back handed insult/compliment, depending on his agenda.

Not sure why anyone would aspire to emulate an offense that didn't succeed against our defense.....

Why not post "I liked Huggins offense but MSU's offense was much better with spacing and shooting 49%". Of course that would be impossible for you because you can't bring yourself to ever admit you are wrong about anything. Our offense was nice to watchlast night and we attacked their zone after we saw it a few times and they got out of it. Your age old banters of Stans can't coach, he doesn't develop players, is all BS. Moutrie was a 50% shooter from the line in practice last year and he coudn't shoot 20% from 3 point range but amazingly our coaches who you constantly criticize found ways to help him improve and Lewis has improved 100% as has Bryant.Give us a break. Stay on the Bears, that is about the only thing you are correct about.
