Armstead is a fool, another Trumpster. Only for small government when they see fit.

Everyone complaining about Jim Justice wanting to raise taxes, not his fault that the GOP refuses to enter the 21st century and legalize weed. If they would legalize that, there would be no need for most of these other taxes. Everyone reaps the benefits without being punished via tax.

If it gets through the house , We would be the 29th state to pass it. We are 1 of only 6 states that has not passed some form of medical Marijuana bill
It is on second reading tomorrow. Once it hits the third reading, we'll see a vote. A lawyer may want to discuss what "dispense reference" means and it being confirmed by a 54-40 vote.

It means they kept the bill out of committee where it would have been dead. Armstead had it double referenced to health and to judiciary. With only nine days left in the session it would have never made it out of committee. Now it is likely we are going to see a floor vote on the bill. The majority of people in West Virginia want medical cannibas. We are going to see which delegates stand for their constituents or for another agenda.

The calling campaign seems to be working. Keep it up. We need to get this done.

I wondered if that's what it meant. Thanks V-LUV.

We are talking about the state that until recently you couldn't buy a bloody Mary while eating brunch on Sunday before 1 pm

Everything I've heard from some people who would know, say this form of cannabis is much stronger than what us older guys would have gotten back in the 60-80.
You are partially correct. The reading I've been doing in preparation for the legalization has been pretty enlightening.

Yes, pot is stronger now, but they've bread specific strains for specific purposes. For instance, you've got the stress reliever strands, pain reliever strands, and yes, you have the get really baked and watch Capt Kangaroo in your underwear for 6 hr strands. They've also started making sophisticated edibles beyond the old "pot brownies".

In short, your opposition as voiced in this thread to it is based on some very simplistic and outdated thinking in my opinion. It's stronger, but it's selectable in what you want.

Having lost a son who was age 26 to cocaine ingestion due to paranoia, I'm pretty sure he started out on cannabis. After that, your perspective changes.

Sorry for you loss.

I've lost friends to drugs as well. While they all smoked pot at one time, they all started with drinking. It was the prescription pills that puts them over the edge it seems. The strong physical addictions.

I know your past, you've told it on here. I'm just telling you the research I've done.

How would you know? Trust me on this one. This is another problem with it being "illegal" tests cannot be done to determine proper usage. I had a little issue with this recently when I got my hands on some edibles
Yeah, it takes one hit instead of the whole bag of schwag dirt weed from the 70's, lol.

If the legalization turns out bad for the state/country do you think you can ever put the horse back in the barn?

The horse hasn't ever been in the barn. For underage kids, it's easier to get than booze. For adults, it's not a challenge at all.

And honestly, I want it to pass because I have the land and rather large warehouse back home to process it and distribute it. I'm ready to retire.

I think that there's a place for it in medicine. Just like drinking on the job, I don;t think there should be "smoking" on the job. There will be long term ramifications but there already are. I wonder how many of the people who want free tuition are smoking the old wacky weed regularly?

See, you're putting the hippy stigma on it. I obviously can't do it because of my clearance, however, most of the professionals I know do it on occasion. I'm talking people pulling in six and seven figures. Now with the edibles, it's becoming even more common. It's become like the new version of a bottle of wine in the evenings for a lot of couples. Just something to mellow out and relax from a long week or a hard day. Hence, going back to what I was saying about the targeted strands for specific purposes.

And to your point, I'd never advocate doing it while working any more than drinking and working.

Do you think that it doesn't do harm to our yutes? Alcohol does too but there seems to be more of a lingering after effect with cannabis use. I think that it will be legalized but I'm just not going to think that the good out weighs the bad.

Maybe we could finally pave our piss poor roads. No wonder businesses won't come here, the roads are awful.
You mean the roads that the Democrats neglected to fix for all the years they were in control? Also.... your Democrat pals also NEVER even considered legalizing pot in all the years they had total control and could have easily done it. Some people are just sooooo blind.

I don't think anything in moderation is harmful unless it an opiod. That never needs to be sampled or experimented with. And again, those are as easy if not easier to get than pot, and that's saying something. Your mind stops rationalizing things correctly when you're on those friggin things. I don't think there is a more harmful drug being used than that stuff.
