[QUOTE="Volatility_rivals135605, post: 131745375, member: 1476288"] Historically & Hilariously bad take by Elliott, which probably googled WV's population to form his opinion. There is absolutely ZERO data that suggest WVU would not add to the revenues and would be a "Bottom half" program in the ACC, ZERO. IN fact, the collection of ALL data points suggest the exact opposite. WVU would be a top tier program with an immediate improvement to revenues. TVMarket, Streaming, Game Attendance, Merch Sales, Brand Value, SM Fan Engagement, Recruiting, Facilities, , Student Athlete Grades & Graduation rates, ALL of these are Top 10-30 metrics. Collectively would place WVU in the top 3-5 in the ACC. Not to mention- Multi Sport Success: Top 20 Football program Top 20 Basketball program Top 10 Womens Soccer(Recently) Top 3 Rifle Top 25 Baseball(recently on an upward trajectory, tho not overall/historically) Not to mention: Secondary positive side effects of adding WVU will have for our opponents game attendance & ACCN subscriptions. VT, Pitt, Louisville, BC, Cuse, etc will all benefit from adding WVU, so will the ACC as a whole... Pitt & VT fans esp may subscribe to watch WVU vs VT or WVU vs Pitt, or go to the game... Re-activating multiple rivalries is good all around for the ACC as it nurtures more fan participation & engagement, not just in Football, but Basketball too. This just proves many of these "writers" are just as ignorant and ill prepared for being in a decision making position as a regular fan who works at your local gas station and DJ's on the weekends at the town's only strip club.
