1st you must understand the difference between a punt,extra point and field goal?
There's a difference!
Punt: Football. a kick in which the ball is dropped and then kicked before it touches the ground. No points
Extra Point: occurs immediately after a touchdown during which the scoring team is allowed to attempt to score one extra point by kicking the ball through the uprights in the manner of a field goal, ...If you kick through the goal, 1 point.
Field Goal: the team in possession of the ball must place kick, the ball through the goal, i.e., between the uprights and over the crossbar. 3 points

Earlier in the game, Page ran one of those "fake" punts, but MC did not get 2 points. Soon after, MC got 3 points, so it must be better to wait a while.
Later, the Page punter dropped the ball and kicked it before it hit the ground, but the ball went sideways.

Shelby should offer Mallard Creek a game and split the gate 50/50. Shelby keeps the concession and season tickets. Great pay day and way for teams to test themselves.
