"Ya Boy": Cam Lawrence
Offensive MVP: Dillon Day - it all starts with the big uglies up front, and Day will be making all the calls on the line at C
Defensive MVP: Jon Banks - Too easy, but Nickoe made a real push for me
Offensive Breakout Player: Nick Griffin - Gut feeling, could be gas. He's got the ideal size we want and all reports are his knee is back to 100% this season.
Defensive Breakout Player: Denico Autry - Needs to be him or Boyd to replace what we lost with Cox. Hopefully it'll be both of them. That'd make our D that much more nasty.
Freshman of the Year: Joe Morrow - An obvious choice, but we just don't have anyone else with his size now that MJ is injured. I think he'll have a HUGE role in our redzone packages and be a reliable possession WR that we've been lacking.

Hell, Hump4Hoops said Boyd as his breakout player....if Boyd hasn't broken out, then Skinner should fit that category.

ETA: if Skinner can't be Breakout defensive then I'd say Autry

Depends a lot on the progression of Claussell &Siddoway and if we can transition our version of the spread offense to pass first in order to keep Russell from taking too many damaging hits early in the year. We should be very good this year. Morrow might should have been the breakout O player.
Offensive MVP: the OLine - Whether we sink or swim depends on the big uglies.

Defensive MVP: Josh Boyd - I think Josh is fully ready to bust out his senior year and get himself paid.
Offensive Breakout Player: Jameon Lewis/Nick Griffin - If Jameon can hold on to the ball, his shiftiness and playmaking ability could really hurt the opposing defense. If Nick's knee is fully healed and he trusts it, his size, speed, and power could really allow us to pound the football.
Defensive Breakout Player: Benardrick McKinney - he's young, but the big man looks to have all the tools to be a force for us at linebacker. He mayalso be versatile enough to move around and help with the pass rush.
Freshman of the Year: Benardrick McKinney - I think he'll get the most playing time of all the freshman and will create problems foroffenses with his size, long arms, and athleticism.

Fletch led the team in TFL, and while Skinner did have 69 tackles...I would hardly say he was a breakout guy. I agree Boyd isn't breakout, and I may be toeing the line with Skinner, but a LB that had less tackles than our starting Corner and Safety (Banks and Bonner), and didn't do much of anything for 2/3 of the year, I don't consider breakout. You guys have been doing "ya boy" for a lot longer than I have, so if Skinner is DQ'd...Autry it is.
