But have followed these events over the last 24 hours. I must say that this Yancy fellow really needs to grow up and get a life. I know his livelihood depends on following these type things, but seriously, from someone who doesn't live and die with every recruit, this borders an unhealthy infatuation with the way he follows these 17-18 year old kids. And after all, they are just kids. And who the heck pays to read about these kids every move?

This may end up topping the Robert Elliot saga before it's all said and done. Wow.

All we need is Dan fighting Nutt in Brassell's front yard.

But I imagine if Pogue doesn't stfu and stay out of Mullen's way there will be some mighty harsh feelings there.

Halftime Joe Kines voice on. Or at least he sounds pretty crazy over the radio.

I wouldn't 17 with him at halftime, I know that.

Yancy and the rest of them are so predictable when this stuff happens, it is funny. It is almost like they have a playbook for this situation. Whenever they lose a recruit to MSU, they immediately go into spin control. They get their media people to put out bits of information that makes it look like something dirty is going on, or say that it is not over, or say that he was confused and Mullen planted a device in him to control him.

The fact is this is not over and there is still a chance we lose him. This is exactly what will happen. From now until a week before signing day, Yancy will tell the idiots that will still listen to him (in other words, most of the people who post on Nafoon) that his "source" tells him that the Bears are doing good with him and still have a good shot to get him. He and others will go back to the Xena playbook and start just making **** up about Mullen and Melvin and other MSU people. His moronic flock will believe him and additional morons from Sixpack, GP, BDJ, and other message boards will repeat these lies over and over again and cause chaos.

Then one of two things will happen. One is that Brassuel will actually change his mind and sign with the bears. Yancy will claim he was right the whole time and people, including idiots on this board, will think he actually has credibility. The other thing that will happen is that Brassuel will end up signing with MSU. This is what will happen 80% of the time. About a week before signing day, Yancy will say that his "sources" now tells him MSU has paid him more money, given money to his church, and gave his grandmothers brother a job at the pentagon. He will say that they lost him at the end when they really lost him in October. Yancy's flock will believe him, cuss at how dirty MSU is and still believe that Yancy had "sources" all along.

This is all in Chapter 3 of the playbook that they use.

the SP we have gotten have made their intentions known VERY late in the recruiting process. I was a little shocked that even if Brassell wanted to sign with us that he would commit this early. To have to put up with the Black Bear harrassment for another 4 months will not be pleasant for Nick. It really is disgusting the way they treat players there that don't move onto the Plantation. I know of nothing equivalent to that in any so-called MSU territory.

I thought when i got a text saying that Brassell committed. I couldn't imagine why in the world he would announce this early that he was coming to State. Generally, if you are from SP and are high profile and want to leave, I would think the gameplan would be to announce after you had signed the papers and had the family in a new house in a new town with new jobs.

what happens at USP when one of their subjects announces his intent to renounce his automatic citizenship. Certainly our side is not ignorant of what was about to happen to young Messrs. Brassell and Market. Accordingly, I believe that Brassell and Market were not discouraged from making the commitment announcement public by our side. On the contrary, I think these 2 might have been encouraged to make the announcement public for the purpose of attracting Singleton and others.

These things don't always happen in a vacuum. It's not like our side has no weapons at our disposal in this recruiting war. We're not helpless. And now we've got an aggressive field general and staff that is intent on taking the battle to these flaming ****.
