But have followed these events over the last 24 hours. I must say that this Yancy fellow really needs to grow up and get a life. I know his livelihood depends on following these type things, but seriously, from someone who doesn't live and die with every recruit, this borders an unhealthy infatuation with the way he follows these 17-18 year old kids. And after all, they are just kids. And who the heck pays to read about these kids every move?
Yancy and the rest of them are so predictable when this stuff happens, it is funny. It is almost like they have a playbook for this situation. Whenever they lose a recruit to MSU, they immediately go into spin control. They get their media people to put out bits of information that makes it look like something dirty is going on, or say that it is not over, or say that he was confused and Mullen planted a device in him to control him.
The fact is this is not over and there is still a chance we lose him. This is exactly what will happen. From now until a week before signing day, Yancy will tell the idiots that will still listen to him (in other words, most of the people who post on Nafoon) that his "source" tells him that the Bears are doing good with him and still have a good shot to get him. He and others will go back to the Xena playbook and start just making **** up about Mullen and Melvin and other MSU people. His moronic flock will believe him and additional morons from Sixpack, GP, BDJ, and other message boards will repeat these lies over and over again and cause chaos.
Then one of two things will happen. One is that Brassuel will actually change his mind and sign with the bears. Yancy will claim he was right the whole time and people, including idiots on this board, will think he actually has credibility. The other thing that will happen is that Brassuel will end up signing with MSU. This is what will happen 80% of the time. About a week before signing day, Yancy will say that his "sources" now tells him MSU has paid him more money, given money to his church, and gave his grandmothers brother a job at the pentagon. He will say that they lost him at the end when they really lost him in October. Yancy's flock will believe him, cuss at how dirty MSU is and still believe that Yancy had "sources" all along.
This is all in Chapter 3 of the playbook that they use.
