which is old for a catcher to be sure, but he's hitting .295 with 5 home runs playing in Detroit with 32 RBI's and 6 SB's, which are pretty much in line with his numbers from the past three years, and very productive for a catcher his age. He's still Gold Glove caliber behind the plate as well. But beyond the numbers, the reason this deal seems so lopsided to me is that the Yankees basically gave up an inconsistent middle relief guy for a guy who has tremendous leadership skills, lots of success in the postseason, and is a great leader.
