You sent me a brisket baked beans recipe a year or two that was some of the best stuff I've had, but I can't find the recipe for the life of me. Mind sending that my way again when you get off the golf course this weekend? I think I'm going to pair it with some ribs and bourbon this Sunday

We called those "church beans" because somebody would always bring them to the potluck - usually made with hamburger instead of brisket, but we had one lady that would use pot roast. Mine have a little apple cider vinegar along with the brown sugar to give it that BBQ bite.

If you make some cornbread batter or biscuit dough you can put it on top and throw it in a hot oven for 20 minutes and you have southern Shepard's pie.
