Not to take anything away from Bray

But HD6 could have made that completion, granted the throw allowed more but he had 5 yards. To begin with.

Their defense does have some holes.

Their offense looks good but NC State is getting zero pressure. We will see how Bray does with the SEC D lines he will have to face.

Bray does have great poise on the field. If they can protect him they will win some games.

He looked really good on that bonehead qb sneak before halftime. I know it was a close call but I think they got it right. He looked to not have the ball secured right when he got the ball to the plain. He is a very good qb and has 2 stud receivers to throw to. If he gets time like he's getting tonite, he will pick us apart regardless of how good our defensive backs are. But I don't think he will be having that much time in Starkville. I want the SEC to win all games in the non conference. I hope they beat the Pack by 20!

He had a good first half throwing the ball...

But you have to admit, he's not being rushed. At all. Still, they're improved. I agree.

I'll admit he does look really good...

certainly MUCH better than Conner Shaw even before Shaw got hurt. Of course saying that if our WRs separated from DBs the way TN's have tonight our QB would look pretty dang good. And on top of that NC State is not getting any pressure on him. Bray's definitely good but I'm underwhelmed with the Wolfpack defense.

Bray is good no doubt. If you read the box score last year you knew that already. I'm just not sold on NCS as a good reference for competition.

For NC State I see Cato-Bishop then I see dead people.

Vandy did a better job against USC of getting off the block than the wolf pack.

Not taking anything away from the vols, but I know fools gold when I see it.

For once I agree with you. Bray looked strong tonight

Hell, he looked good last year until he got hurt too. It's funny how everyone just seems to forget that TN was so bad last year because their QB was hurt most of the season. If he stays healthy he may wind up as the top QB in the league this season. They have some legit weapons on the outside too. TN will be improved this year. They won't win the East, but they will not be an easy win for us, like everyone seems to think, either.

I don't think most MSU fans ever felt like TN would be an easy win. We have 4 games that will determine our season and they are all winnable, all are at home, but none will be easy. Those games are Auburn, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Arkansas. The other games, barring strange events, we know pretty much what's likely to happen (6 wins and 2 losses).

Bray only threw for like 40 something more yards than Glennon and i have a hard time believing NC State's defense is all that good

I'm saving my thoughts on Bray until after the UF game.

This is still the same guy that went 15/38 1 TD 2 picks against an abysmal UK team last year. I don't care if you're hurt or not, that's terrible.

No pressure from the d-line and slow corners and safeties make for an easy night! The speed in the SEC is a difference amaker

The DB's of NCS were playing 10 and 15 yards off the recievers. And with good reason, they could not match their speed. Bray was good at the long ball as usual. He looked like he would get a little nervous when they did put pressure on him. What little they did. Hard to tell with first games.

Some of you seem to have not noticed the pace on his passes. The guy is really good. He has some good receivers. If we can get pressure on him, we can win. If not, gonna be a long night on defense. Their defense needs work though. Should be a good game with them.

I agree he is not a bad QB. But he is like most good QB's, if you don't get pressure on him, he can pick you apart, especially with that kind of cushion. The QB for NC State looked pretty good when he had time to throw, but the pressure got to him and he started messing up. Hopefully, our pass rush will be better then NC State
