Surely this same punishment will be applied to the other 4 prank calls made. Not just this single case of harm done to this one helpless, humble victim.
My guess is the punishment is probably a result of all the calls, even if it’s being reported just about this one.

I expect if they can trace the source of the other prank calls and they came from inside the NFL, they'll get the same punishment.

Also, yeah the son is a douchbag, but the dad is the one who raised a douchebag and left Shadeur's number out for him to find.

I'm sure if the other four prank calls were done by a relative of an NFL team employee, said employee and employee's team would be fined by the NFL. The NFL is a private company and they can handle this however they like.

If I'm the Falcons, that is $350,000 fine to him alone. Hell if I'm going to pay for his kid and his mistake.

So where does the $350k end up? Donations to certain charity, the Comish's pockets, retraining for their officials, ???

The only way numbers got out were by NFL employees. Yes they are free to be hypocritical and selective in their response(s). You can be sure that they'll ignore all the others.

Really? The only way? No one else knew anyone's phone number?

Numbers are listed in a document provided by the NFL. Many players have a phone used only for the draft. Like Sanders.

I'm guessing the other guys moved on and didn't feel so victimized.

I think the difference is none of the other prank callers was a big enough dumbass to post a video of themselves making said call. Once that had circulated all over social media the NFL was going to ask. Apparently they are looking into the other calls, but those guys weren’t dumb enough to leave their drivers license behind while robbing the bank.

Here's a great opportunity to teach your kids:

Hustler Magazine, Inc. v. Falwell, 485 U.S. 46 (1988), is a by the Supreme Court of the United States in which the Court held that parodies of public figures, even those intending to cause emotional distress, are protected by the First and Fourteenth Amendments to the U.S. Constitution.

I have mix emotion. The coach did not protect information he had access to. The other hand it was his son. No harm was done. We view 100K as a lot of money but in NFL money that is 100's of dollars.
