If we could pick a recent player to add to the current roster, I'd take Ron Harper Jr.

The questions are
1.) like the last three years wirh the ncaa bid on the line in the last week of the season
do we get a bounce back to get us IN
2.) if we get the bounce back in the last week of the year to get us in the touurney for the BTT, does it carry us to tournmwnt play ?
-three years ago…it appeared that way
-two years ago …yes (wins against Indiana, Clemson and an almost upset of 2 seeded Houston)
-last year …no
The final chapwter in that years book is yet to be written

We don't need other players. We need the current players to play with confidence.
I want Mag back so we could be that team again that no one wanted to play and was headed deep into the tourney.
True. I'd pick a healthy Mag first - but if only looking at prior players, Harper would be well ahead of Mathis on my wish list
RHJ had eligibility. He elected not to return. Played 4 in 4, but allowed one more b/c 2020-21 didn’t count.

A Jacob Young type of guard who can drive to the basket would fill the bill imo. Our guards can’t do that.
This is a over achieving team that is playing to its porential which means strong defense and mediocre offense.Its also a very experienced team that is shown on defense.The lack of shooting skills is shown on offense.Pikiell has done a terrific job achieving nine league wins and with a little luck additional wins can happen.
If Mag had never gotten injured, I would be SHOCKED if we didn't have at least two more wins. That messed up our chemistry and rotations so much, and we haven't recovered yet. I would predict wins tomorrow and at Minnesota with confidence.
LOL!!! Absolutely not! Cliff has missed enough close baskets lately for the entire team. I don't particularly want to EVER see Mathis in a Rutgers uniform, driving into two or three players for wild layup attempts that never have a chance. And who could forget the uncontested, airball layup?? NO THANK YOU!!!!!
So you would prefer Harper Jr., an all time great, over Mathis? That’s some real basketball genius there Clyde.
Cliff's lack of a consistent 20 has killed us. As has Caleb’s regression and poor shot choices. Biggest disappointments in my book.
Lame is a dumb debate over whether we need Harper or Mathis. Obviously Harper is better player. I would prefer John Starks to suit up against Penn State!

Of recent players, not counting the obvious Harper, give me JY. Speed, athleticism, ability to attack the rim, very good defender
Well, no one should ever breathe his name as jumping to NBA then. At least not until he develops a more well rounded offensive game. 13 points ain't gonna cut it.
I thought the man was/is more talented than Zach Edey. For whatever reason Cliff plays him well, but can't take advantage against much lesser opponents.
