Most horrific last minute of a game I’ve ever seen. Once again our senior leaders let us down at a crucial moment with bonehead plays.
Never a fan of letting teams do that. Wouldn't have been time for that shot
Its like this team isnt coached sometimes. How do yoi let rhem roll the ball to almost half court. Pikell has really had some brain farts at end of games.
Pressure damnit. Might have killed off that final .4 sec
We had a timeout and instead let Caleb get fouled
You give pressure coming up court to chew up time and force a tough shot.
Basic stuff. That’s on the coaches.
End game situations not pikes forte but shouldn’t have come to this
I was screaming "cover the ball" on the last inbounds WTF - basic stuff and they did it on all the previous plays - total confusion- Caleb was pointing to the ball as they let it roll up the floor - no one covered. Game would have been over.
Defensive player of the year McConnell sure makes some terrible decisions on defense. Also why was the in bounder not covered?
He was yelling at them to stop the roll. But players didn’t. Not on Pike. On the seniors that are all MIA.

He is not composed late in games. Misses free throws, turns the ball over, has lapses in judgment on defense that he normally wouldn’t.
And that was directly on Spencer. Instead of denying him and make someone else shoot it he decided to try for a steal on the guy with the ball and left him all alone. Not very smart.
Caleb stopped his man driving. He doesn't need help. Cam left his man when he shouldn't have. A contested long 2 with Caleb on him was the shot we wanted to force
Purdue in the exact same situation pressures the inbound and Wisconsin gets a barely within half court shot at the buzzer. Huge difference between a clean look and a rushed heave in that situation
yep Purdue did like 99% of the teams should do it...yeah they had 4.4 instead of 5.8 but it was a wild desperation court from half court not a comfortable step in wide open 3
Definitely should have had at least token pressure. That was dumb.
All they needed to do is have McConnell stay where he was after hitting the free throw. Automatically wastes an additional 1-1.5 seconds. Battle either shoots quickly and contested or Cooper has to make something happen.
You must have missed the ball rolling to half court and him deciding not to help on the 3 after Cam flew by on the last possession
not anymore...coaches these days leave the game in their experienced players hands, in case they need that canned excuse. we saw it all the time last year with iso-Geo.

Battle made 3 pointers in the last 43 seconds and has by far taken and made the most 3 pointers for Minnesota. Someone should have kept a close eye on him.

What? Caleb was no where near that guy. He was on his man. Just like Spencer should have been.
