Congrats, this is the most incorrect assumption of the night
then why does he have turnover-prone PM handling the ball ? why ? so he escapes blame. He left it to his seniors to win it, and they didn't. It's not just him....it's the game in 2023

If you think he’s making decisions based on being able to use them as excuses, you’re not thinking rationally

Easy to say all that, but we did do this against OSU and Mag put heavy pressure on their guy and they still made the ridiculous 3

You must have missed the ball rolling to half court and him deciding not to help on the 3 after Cam flew by on the last possession
That was a Pike decision to either not press the ball , it was Pike ‘s decision to either stay in a zone I think or a Pike decision to have Caleb guard Cooper and Cam guard Battle. Then Cam got confused , then Cam left his feet , then Cam did a fly by, then left Battle open for a 3. No blame to Caleb. Blame is either on Pike or Cam and hard to criticize Cam who scored 22 points and didn’t cost us the game like Paul did. Go watch again.

“On his man”

Caleb could have put in SOME effort to rush the shot, distract the shooter a little, anything.

Stopped playing with 2 seconds left while standing on the B1G logo.

that, and it’s easier. at least you understand my opinion. there is no way Pike thinks the ball in PM’s hands is preferable

End game horrible. Even against PSU pike had no one on the line, the team was huddled while the FT was rebounded. Today they gave ******* Minnesota 5 free seconds. Guard the inbound even a little and game over…WTF. Mind boggling

He was maybe 10 feet away with 2 seconds left. No need to stick on his man (which he didn’t do, he stood and watched from around the foul line).

Regardless, letting the ball roll as far as it did was a lapse.
Spencer was the culprit in that play period! He left the guy who had the hot hand from three alone for God knows what reason. It's not like Caleb was bear and needed help. Not like he's a semifinalist for national defensive player of the year or anything.

The play started with the ball rolling, and rolling, and rolling

The other guys can also get more leeway when they score 20+

This is why pike made the mistake and didn’t call time out

We needed focus and we didn’t have it

Focus from a time outs has some pressure on the all there

i dont understand why we wouldnt call timeout there given we were in meltdown mode and they were hot. Almost every coach does it.

We did the same nonsense against Umass. Let them go unimpeded to half court. Except this was worse they ROLLED it. Terrible coaching there. Sorry love Pike but he blew it
