I would not have believed it either if I did not go back and watch it myself. I went on ESPN360 and just rewatched the game from the 3:00 mark, where Dee Bost makes 2 free throws to put us up 7. I wanted to see for myself what the foul discrepancy was from that point forward. It is unreal how the game played out from that point forward. Those free throws by Bost at the 3:00 mark would be the last time the whistle was blown in our favor. Here is a rundown of the fouls called on State.
1:50 in Regulation, Offensive foul on Dee Bost (huge call here, would have given Cousins his 5th if called a charge)
4:37 OT, Barry Stewart foul on Cousins
3:43 OT, Blocking foul on Osby (Terrible call here, ESPN announcers agreed it was a charge on Patterson)
3:25 OT, Bost Foul
1:31 OT, Stewart foul on Wall (Replay showed it was all ball and this was an AND 1 call)
44.6 OT, Stewart foul on Wall
36.3 OT, Osby foul on Cousins
24.7 OT, Bost foul on John Wall
10.8 OT, Turner foul on Liggins
2.7 OT, Benock Foul

NO FOULS called on Kentucky after the we got up by 7 with 3 mins to go, including the entire OT.

Some crucial no calls during this run were during Barry's drive to the basket with about 51 seconds to go, Osby's layup that he made could have easily been called an AND 1, and of course the Dee Bost goaltend on the layup. Replays on TV clearly show the ball hit the backboard first. Announcers agreed it was a goaltend. I know that we had our opportunities and still should have won the game despite all this but man this leaves a bitter taste in your mouth to get bent over like this on your home court.

Pretty incredible - 8 minutes of perfect basketball by Kentucky, and we hit our foul average for the entire game in the same period.

Calipari worked the refs harder - he was in their ear the whole game. I wanted stans to get out on the court and take a technical after the 4th on JV. Would have at least laid down the challenge - Squeeky wheel got the grease in this one, those refs were tired of hearing Calipari's crap and Stans wasn't pushing it like he should have.

you know we can't really be upset at the refs tonight... they're just doing what all refs in the NCAA always do... protecting their babies!! A.K.A. Kentucky, ACC schools, whoever Dick Vitale talks about, etc. It's like a mother hen hatching her eggs... gotta keep them nice and warm in their top seed records so no "less deserving" schools actually outplay them and beat them, i.e. the UKvsMSU game tonight

usually when I catch myself getting mad at the refs I just try to take a few breaths and calm myself down by telling myself it's just my fan-dom taking control. But what I witnessed tonight, which you just outlined perfectly, makes me absolutely livid. This screwjob was every bit as obvious as the SEC's agenda to have an undefeated Florida/Bama title game. 17 you, you worthless-17 refs.
