Here in Edgecombe County, all 3 schools are conference champions. North Edgecombe (Tar-Roanoke 1A), Tarboro (Coastal Plains 1A), and SW Edgecombe (Eastern Plains 2A).
29-4, 16-0. The four losses were against each other, with 1 exception. Pretty sure 2 of the 3 will be #1 seeds, with the other being #2. Pretty good football being played in these parts. What are some other dominant counties?

Cleveland County with 2 conference champs (Shelby, Crest), which is all they can have considering all 4 schools play in 2 conferences...

All 4 end the season with 9 wins each... 36-7 overall... Only 1 loss outside the county (Kings Mtn. to Hunter Huss).. Burns, Shelby and Crest did not loss outside the county... Also none of the 4 lost a home game...

And to top it off all 4 will have at least 1 home playoff game

Hats off to CC football. There’s nothing like it. Now I’m just trying to decide who to see next Friday. Any suggestions?

Conference championships don't mean much for Pitt County since we have multiple teams in each conference across 3 classifications. We haven't had a dominate team since the old JH Rose teams before South Central. Our big 3 Rose, Conley, and South Central have potential to be state contenders year in, year out, but for some reason we only like beating up on each other for those bragging rights and to hell with the playoffs! Lol. That's quite an accomplishment for Edgecombe county though, I love watching all 3 of those teams.

Davidson County has a bit of history. Currently it is more balanced than ever before but nobody is really a state power.

Thomasville has 8 state titles (1 WNCHSAA), Lexington has 3 (2 NCHSAA and 1 WNCHSAA), North Davidson has an Area State Title and a WNCHSAA title.

None of the other schools have ever been very imposing, though they have had some playoff runs.

I remember those days when people were afraid of Rose...
